Come celebrate New Years Eve with your family on Sunday, December 31st at 6pm at Highbanks Park!

Season’s Greetings!

The Tribe of Gun Lake Michigan has generously gathered donations this year to give to our community!

They have gathered new clothing, toys, non-perishable food items, household items, etc. from generous donors.

The pick up location for gifts is at the WIFN governance building on the following dates:

Friday, December 15th, 9am-4pm.
Saturday, December 16th, 12pm-4pm.
Monday, December 18th, 9am-12pm & 2pm-4pm.

Please be mindful and considerate of each other and take what you need. We would like to see each community member receive something as this is a gift for the entire community!

Walpole Island First Nation is looking for feedback from community members on housing needs.  This will allow Chief and Council to lobby for much needed funding.  With this feedback, Housing will be able to develop a 5 year Housing Plan, based on the needs.

Foods we need volunteers for:
Potatoes
Corn
Wild Rice (2 versions)
Frybread /Oven bread
Squash
Gravy
Baked beans
Scon dawgs

Wild game cooks:
Ducks
Deer

All ingredients will be provided by BYC

This Holiday event is for WIFN families and Children aged 0-6.

Tickets prices are:

-$10 per Adult & children 5-6
-$5 for children 3-4
-Free for children 0-2

The Tree Fires Women’s Shelter is collecting donations from November 15-22 for their annual fundraiser.

Any contributions welcome.

They are collecting the following items: Butter, Eggs, Flour, Apples, Celery, Oil, 2% Milk, Dinner Rolls, Cans of pop, D’italiano Bread.

Drop off location is at 186 Tecumseh Rd. @ Women’s shelter.

You can call the shelter or drop off between 9am-9pm.
