FLOODING POSSIBLE FOR PARTS OF NEW SOUTH WALES NORTHERN RIVERS and MID NORTH COAST FROM THURSDAY

A trough over New South Wales' west is drawing humid conditions over the North East of the state. This is expected to cause thunderstorms and rain on Wednesday and Thursday.

Catchments likely to be affected by flooding are currently very wet following weeks of storms and wet conditions. High tides and storm surge are also expected along parts of the New South Wales
Coast which may exacerbate riverine flooding.

The weather system may cause flooding for the catchments listed for Thursday and Friday as the weather system moves east.

💧 Tweed and Rouse Rivers minor to moderate flooding

💧 Brunswick River and Marshalls Creek - MINOR flooding

💧 Wilsons River - MODERATE flooding

💧 Richmond River - MINOR to MODERATE flooding

💧 Orara River - MINOR flooding

💧 Bellinger and Kalang Rivers - MINOR flooding

Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy rain is forecast or observed.
