We will address the net fail first. It was 100° out and we had already spent an hour fighting the bushes to get to the babies. We forgot rule number 1... always check your equipment! No kitties were hurt during this trapping she's feral and was just mad and scared when I scruffed her. We have been working on rescuing all of the kittens and friendly cats from this colony for a couple of months. We knew Mom was nursing and we have been waiting patiently to see if any of her babies had survived. Luckily she started bringing them out recently, unfortunately they were frail and sick 💔 It has been difficult catching these kittens as they have been hiding out on the side of fence that isn't easily accessed and they aren't very food motivated. Luckily we did get permission to be on the other side of the fence, unfortunately the area is overgrown and hard to navigate. We were able to "net" one of the kitties. And got the other with our drop trap. We were able to catch mom too but she had to be re-released because two of her babies we couldn't get ahold of on the first day. Stay turned for part two!! #catrescue #rescuedkittens #cats #kittens #savinganimals
This place might look familiar to some people ... that's because we were back at Hercules colony today. There has been an influx of new cats showing up at the colony and we went to assist with TNR. We were hoping to catch 4 but only ended up with one, big, beautiful, boy. This gorgeous guy doesn't seem to be feral at all, just scared, which leads us to believe he could have been dumped. He will be at the vet tomorrow for his neuter surgery and vaccinations, he seems to be drooling, so we will be getting his mouth looked at as well. We have named him Beau, we will have an update on him after his vet appointment tomorrow ❤️ Please consider becoming a monthly donor (through PayPal or Patreon) to help us continue to save the most needy cats in San Bernardino. #catrescue #rescuedkittens #rescuedcat #cats #kittens

Without you none of this would be possible. If you would like to join our efforts in saving lives, please consider becoming a monthly donor through our Patreon or PayPal. Every little bit goes a long way!
Scarlett Update! Our beautiful Scarlett girl got a haircut yesterday! She was getting a bit matted, which means she hasn't been grooming...when kitties aren't grooming there is usually something wrong. We brought Scar to the vet yesterday to have her mouth looked at, and she is in need of a dental. She will be having her dental surgery on Oct 20th. She was such a good girl at the vet yesterday that she was getting compliments. Scarlett is available for adoption and will be ready to go home after her dental. If you're interested in adopting this beautiful little Mama please fill our an application. The link is in our bio @CatsOfSanBernardino **🚨We have a lot of upcoming vet bills from Scarlett's dental, to Hades' Leg amputation, Theia's double enucleation, and Cyclops' single enucleation. Please please consider donating or becoming a monthly donor to support our life savings efforts. These surgeries are going to be in the THOUSANDS and won't be possible without your support🚨** We will have updates and quotes on all of these procedures coming soon. #savinglives #catrescue #rescuedkittens #rescuedcat
New Rescue Alert! We went back to catch Mom and her last remaining kitten. Luckily this time around we were able to lure her kitten out from the other side of the fence. We secured her with a hand trap and then turned our attention to Mom. Mom had already been trapped twice so she knew our tricks. We ended up putting her baby in the trap and she came out to investigate. Mom being friendly wanted nothing to do with transferring over to the transfer carrier so we hand transferred her. Mom has been reunited with her two kittens, we will have updates and introductions coming up soon. The 1st two kittens we caught went to the vet as they were sick and struggling. Unfortunately one of the kittens was too frail and didn't survive, one of the remaining kittens we couldn't catch on the 1st attempt also passed away while out with Mom. Of the two remaining kittens the black kitty from the first attempt is extremely strong and doing well. The other kitty from the second rescue has started antibiotics and is still eating. We are hopeful she will pull through and thrive. We were contacted about a sick kitty who had been living in the dumpster behind a Mexican Restaurant. We were told that his health had recently started to decline and that he desperately needed rescue intervention. We went out to rescue him and almost immediately spotted him laying on the ground waiting for help. We could tell right off that bat that he had mange and very inflamed eyes. We also noticed a mass on the right side of his neck 💔Being friendly we were able to easily scoop him up and get him to the vet. He is currently at the vet getting neutered, bloodwork, and medication. We have received communication from our vet that the mass on his neck might be a tumor, they have performed a biopsy on the mass to test for cancer. We will have results by next week. We have named this beautiful guy Pancho. Rescue is only possible because of your support ❤️ To donate to Panchos medical bills and care please visit the link in our bio @catsofsanbernardino Stay tuned for updates. #catrescue #rescuedcat #cats

Who remembers Poseidon? We rescued Poseidon off of death row at the shelter. He was facing euthanasia because he was sick, injured, and had a skin condition that wasn't improving. We went out to rescue his. He recovered with us for a few months before being adopted by his wonderful mom and moving to Northern California. Doesn't he look so healthy and beautiful now?!
Our little trio is doing really well. Hades, Cyclops, and Chrissy are all growing quickly and running around like little maniacs. Chrissy is super sweet and always the first to purr. He will meow for attention and loves to sit on our laps. Cyclops likes to sleep directly on top of my foot and still tries to nurse on us or his blanket 😅😘 Hades is like sleeping beauty. She loves her naps and can sleep in almost any position. Once her brothers get her playing she's pretty darn fast though. **Join us at our first Los Angeles Adoption Event!** We will be at Golden Road Brewery this Saturday Oct 22nd from 12pm-4pm. Golden Road will be generously donating a portion of sales during the event to our Rescue.. so even if you aren't in the position to adopt still come by and join us for lunch and a beer! @goldenroadbrew We look forward to meeting and connecting with everyone 🤗
Biggie Update! Biggie had his entropian surgery today. The surgery corrected his eyelids that had been curling into his eyes, causing chronic infection and irritation. Poor Biggie has most likely been dealing with his condition since birth. Now after years our big boy can finally feel relief. He is asking for extra love since we got him home and we couldn’t be happier to receive his sweet snuggles. Thank you to everyone who donated to Biggies surgery. Without you rescues like Biggies wouldn’t be possible. #catsofinstagram #specialneedscats #savinganimals
@taylorswift we hope you live a long and healthy life BUT we would love that cat sanctuary/cat ranch we have been dreaming about 🤣❤️ It would help us save thousands of more lives, right now we are running our rescue out of our own small home. That would be life changing!! Everyone please @ @taylorswift to make sure she sees this. #catranch #catsanctuary #taylorswift
TNR SAVES LIVES! It was an interesting TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) day this week. If you were live you got to see a free range chicken and a dog assist with our trapping 🤣. Join us Live next week to see it all unfold live. The chicken was claimed as someone's pet but we will be working on them surrending her to us. The dog did have an owner. For the kitties we were able to catch 3. They were at the vet yesterday for their spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and parasite control. These three will no longer be contributing to the over population of feral cats. Slurpee the Grey cat will be assessed for his behaviour ❤️ Thank you to everyone who donates to our rescue allowing the life saving work of TNR to be possible. #savinganimals #rescuelife #kittens #cats #catsoftiktok #kitten
