Jammu, 29 June : ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh felicitated Rajesh Gill, Former Ranji Cricket Player & Member Indian Cricketers Association in a function jointly organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu & Veterans Cricket Jammu & Kashmir at Jammu.
Rajesh Gill who has been selected to represent Indian Veteran Cricket Team in the Marlborough cup Championship scheduled to be held w.e.f. 3rd to 14th July, 2022 at England , was provided the cricket equipments by ADGP Mukesh Singh in presence of SSP Ashok Sharma & members of the Veterans Cricket Jammu & Kashmir which includes Vivek Suri, Amit Kumar, Avinash Uttam, Jagpal Sharma and Vikrant Sharma.
While speaking on the occasion, ADGP Jammu appreciated Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player of the state for the hard work and passion towards the game of Cricket and the only player of UT of J&K to represent the country in the aforesaid international event. He further said that it is a great inspiration for all the Senior Cricketers to re-continue their cricket and can participate in the forth coming veteran matches.

Namrta Sharma Joins Aam Aadmi Party

Former Women wing President JK Apni Party Namrta Sharma on Tuesday Joined Aam Aadmi Party at Party Head Quarters in New Delhi. The Joining programme was led By Mr. Sanjay Singh Member of Parliament and Imran Hussain Cabinet Minister of Food and Civil supplies New Delhi. In-charge Jammu province Aam Aadmi Party Guarav Sharma was also present.

In a Press Conference Imran Hussain Welcomed the leaders into the party fold and expressed the Party vision for the welfare and development in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the addition of Namrta Sharma and other women leaders the party will strengthen and continue to work for the public good.

Namrta Sharma while addressing the media said that her decision comes after a long and conscious thought, I have always worked for the welfare of the people of Jammu and will continue to do so. Aam Aadmi Party has proven to be a party for the common man which believes in development and empowerment of the people.

Continuing the Celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’
Directorate of Tourism, Jammu was organized Jammu Heritage
Festival at Ramnagar Fort on 05.05.2022 in collaboration with District
Administration, Udhampur and Archeological Survey of India. This was
the second program in the series of Heritage Festival as the first was
conducted at Bhimgarh Fort, Reasi.
While addressing the media Sh. Vivekanand Rai, Director
Tourism, Jammu explained that the sole purpose of organizing these
events is to promote Heritage Tourism in Jammu. Ramnagar is not only
popular for Ramangar Fort but also for its scenic beauty, pleasant
weather, local cuisine and tourist sites.
This event comprised of a number of learning and entertaining
activities like Heritage Walk, Poetry Recital, Story telling, sufi singing,
Rock Band, Fusion Dance, folk Dance, Folk Singing. Performances by
local celebrities like Ms. Juhi Singh, Mr. Amit Kundal, Mr. Rabjot Singh
was enjoyed by the audiences. Punjabi Singer Shivjot Singh Dhaliwal
enthralled the huge audience of about 10,000 with his singing. People
from different walks of life participated as audience which included
tourists, students, locals, Vloggers, Media persons and
officers/officials of different departments.
In the morning session, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur,
Smt. Indu Kanwal Chib alongwith Chairman, District Development
Council, Udhampur, Sh. Lal Chand, DDCs and BDCs of Ramnagar,
Assistant Superintending Archaeologist, Sh. Manoj Joshi and Assistant
Archaeologist, Sh. Jai Karan flagged off the Heritage Walk and said
that it is a new beginning for the Ramnagar and shall lead to
encourage tourism in Ramnagar and it was a feast for eyes. The history
of the historic Ramnagar fort was briefed by Sh. Shivdev Singh,
President Ramnagar Heritage Society.
Youngsters expressed their hopes and happiness on tourism
Department and were happy that through this event Ramnagar shall
figure on Tourism Map of India. Locals said that this program is first of
its kind and such event has not happened earlier in the Ramnagar.

Rajouri judicial administration holds coordination committee meeting

Rajouri
April 20

A coordination committee meeting between judicial administration and civil administration in Rajouri district was held in the court complex of Rajouri.

The meeting was chaired by Principal District and Session Judge Rajouri, Smt. Kalpana Rao alongwith Chief Judicial Magistrate Amit Sharma who is also the member secretary of coordination committee.

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, Senior Superintendent of Police Mohd Aslam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sachin Dev Singh, Public Prosecutor court complex Rajouri, Superintendent District Jail Rajouri alongwith other officers of the administration were present in the meeting.

The Principal District and Session Judge Rajouri, Smt. Kalpana Rao laid stress for the construction of vulnerable witness rooms in the court complex and also discussed the infrastructural requirement for setting up of consumer court within the district.

In addition, she also discussed some agenda points that were finalized in previous coordination meeting and specifically directed to complete the requisite requirement of infrastructure facilities of various courts in a time bond manner without any further delay and the matter which are of prime importance has to be completed within a period of one month.

The officers of district administration on this occasion assured that all the points discussed in the meeting will be taken on priority especially regarding the fulfilment of various issues of infrastructure.

Under the able aegis of NALSA and under the radiant guidance of Mr. R.N. Watal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Reasi, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi today organized an awareness camp at Government Middle School Hansali, on “The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015” wherein Ms. Sunali Khajuria, District Legal Cum Probationary Officer, JJB, Reasi was the resource person. The resource person shared her knowledge on the core issues of the subject i.e. The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Mrs. Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Reasi also addressed the gathering on the occasion. In the middle of the program, a documentary film on basic aspects of Juvenile Justice Act 2015 namely Hastekshep (Kishore Nyaya: Dek Rekh Avm Suraksha) was also shown to the student participants through the projector which was highly appreciated by the school management. The objective of organizing this awareness camp was to focus on the core topics of Rights and Protection of Children, Categories of Children (Child in Conflict with Law, Child in need of Care and Protection and Child in contact with Law), the role of Juvenile Justice Board, Child Welfare Committee etc. . During the course of the program students interacted with Secretary DLSA Reasi. Sh. Anil Dubey, Head Master Government Middle School, Hansali conveyed vote of thanks to the District Legal Services Authority Reasi for arranging this first time awareness camp in their school. At the end of the program Child Helpline no.1098 was shared with the students and a light refreshment was also distributed among the student participants.
