I have always believed that when
people are in their comfort zone,
meaning, sa bahay nila, coffee shop,
or kahit saan pang ‘at home’ sila,
MAS magiging productive.

“Hindi ba sila tinatamad?”
“Hindi ba sila inaantok?”

Simple lang naman.
Walang problema ang matulog
o magpahinga. Kailangan nating lahat yun eh.

As long as we can deliver our tasks

Looking back pinaghirapan ko talaga ang Upwork profile ko. Ikaw ba naman ilang beses na nireject mas masakit pa sa breakup eh. haha 😅

Hindi siya madali gaya ng akala ng marami dahil sa dami ng mga napapanood at nababasa natin na 6digit earners or more pa🤑🤑 🤑

Mababago talaga ng freelancing ang buhay mo pero kaakibat nun dapat may matindi kang MOTIVATION. Kasi the road to a successful freelancing career is never easy.

Even now I’m still in my learning phase.

Literally continues learning ang freelancing. Madaming rejection, sleepless nights, frustrations. You need to invest time and money.

Yung di tinanggap proposal mo, seen na lang si prospect client, binabarat ang service mo, namemental block ka sa meeting or sa interview, hindi ikaw ang pinili (ouucccch) 😩

Pero sige lang try again.

Yun talaga ang key doon.

Don’t count your rejections.

Eventually you’ll get better.

You will develop your own strategy.

Magugulat ka na lang you’re doing better than what you expected.

By the time you got your clients make sure to do your best.

Wag mo sayangin yung opportunity. A happy and satisfied client will lead to referrals and new clients will come to you without you using any freelancing platform.

Sino ba naman mag-aakala na tatagal ako sa freelancing eh halos wala akong mailagay na skill nun. 🤭😅

Pang extra income ko lang talaga dapat ito eh at para maka-avail na kami ng bahay… at sa pangarap kong ma-break ang cycle ng kahirapan. 😅

As I look back, freelancing is really a blessing to our family. 🙌❤️

Good news para sa mga new contract dahil 10% na kaagad ang service fee instead of 20%.

Bad news sa mga long time contract instead of 5% na service fee naging 10% pa. 😔 Yan pa naman nilo-look forward ko sa mga long-time client.

But still grateful to Upwork.

‼️Sharing this for awareness‼️

Bagong modus ng mga scammer sa Upwork. I'm aware na yung mga scammer sa Upwork nagsesend na ng job offer kaya aakalain mo na legit talaga sila. In this case, nagsend kaagad siya ng job offer. May mga case naman na ganun sa Upwork job offer agad pero sa name niya talaga ako duda (sorry naman). hahaha May website siya at social media accounts na legit at active page may mga engagement pa. 🤦‍♀️

Habang kausap ko siya kagabi may na-hire na siya na 5. Kaya nireport ko kaagad profile niya nung nakasiguro ako na scammer siya para di na makapangbiktima pa ng iba.

Ingat na lang po tayo sa pag download ng mga files lalo na kung duda tayo. Mas okay na ang naninigurado.

I lost my father during my teenage years and even though it was more than a decade ago the pain is still there. 😔 You just get used to it. And it's something that I don't want to happen to my kids.

I started a small business. Super small lang. 😅 I setup a Facebook and Instagram page para sa business na yun. I used my page as my portfolio. If in case this is not possible for you, you can ask your friends who have an existing business. Offer your service to manage their social media accounts and start building your portfolio. That's for social media management.

If you decide that you want to try freelancing, start studying now. There's a lot of 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 available online.

May mga online work din na hindi naman hinahanapan ng experience. Just make sure that you can deliver the work. Learn to 𝙪𝙥𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡, always. Need mo mag-aral ng mag-aral dahil sa freelancing endless and posibility to grow. Very competitive ang freelancing, kung di ka mag-upskill mapag-iiwanan ka.
