WMTH-FM student-run radio station at Maine Township High Schools

WMTH-FM grew from an idea in the 1950’s. It went on the air at Maine Township High School (later Maine East) in Park Ridge during December 1959 with the voices of Harrison Ford and Marshall Seese as the first students on the air. Later, as the other schools opened, studios were established at each school. As WMTH staffers and sponsors come and go, this page was established by former staffers at WMTH Alumni, an informal group who continue to celebrate the anniversaries of the station first going on the air in late 1959.
