Welcome to For the Love of All Things Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Group rules may be found at this HashTag:
THESE ARE THE GROUP RULES. Please read.
1.) Discussions are encouraged but be respectful of other opinions. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
2.) Images of Dejah Thoris or any female character that are deemed provocative, unnecessarily revealing, or are otherwise inappropriate will be removed. We want to avoid the p**n.
3.) Art by Budd Root is not permitted. His pictures are an excuse to show flesh.
4.) A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) artwork, poetry, or stories are NOT permitted. Such Posts will be deleted.
5.) Artwork deemed inappropriate by the Admins will be deleted. Our objective is to celebrate Burroughs NOT be a peep show.
6.) When you enter this group leave politics at the door. Do NOT discuss politics.
7.) The word "WOKE," discussions of WOKE, hurtful language in the name of WOKE, and accusations of WOKE will not be permitted here in group. WOKE is a political concept that serves only to incite arguments and heated discussion. WOKE is a distraction that will take us away from our daily objective of celebrating Burroughs' characters, worlds, and stories. WOKE discussions cannot be settled here and the battle will not be waged here.
8.) Hurtful and inappropriate language directed at women notably jungle girls in pictures and art will NOT be permitted. Such Statements may offend women members. In this group conduct yourself as a gentleman at all times. If you don't understand that concept, then read up on the behavior and practices of your favorite Burroughs hero.
9.) Discussions of Public Domain, CopyRight, and Trademarks will be permitted only by discretion of the Admin and may be terminated any time. These topics represent complex legal issues that can only be addressed by experts in the field. There is too much room for misrepresentation and missinterpretation. Public understanding of these topics is often vague and incorrect. Based on prior experience we will not resolve these issues in this group. This topic is better left to the legal experts. This debate serves only to distract us from the group objective of furthering and celebrating ERB's legacy.
10.) Religion is NOT to be debated here.
11.) Frontal nudity of PHOTOS is NOT allowed.
12.) Cosplay is NOT permitted.
13.) Anonymous posts are NOT permitted.
14.) No Scammers.
15.) No Spammers.
16.) No Phishing Schemes.
17.) Be Kind, Be Respectful.
18.) This is not a Conan group. Extended Conan discussions are not permitted as determined by the Admin. Conan does not share the principles of the typical Burroughs hero.
19.) We maintain a "family friendly" atmosphere. The "F" word and the "S" word are not permitted. There are other ways to express emotions or feelings. Burroughs did not use those two words, so no need for us to use them.
20.) Flash Gordon and The Phantom are featured daily in group. Our extended coverage includes Kong as well as others at Admin's discretion.

Why is The Phantom in a Burroughs group?
The Phantom is NOT a Burroughs character but was influenced by ERB’s works notably Tarzan.
Edgar Rice Burroughs is first and foremost our focus here in group. We will not lose that focus. But understanding the genre of pulp fiction at large furthers our understanding and appreciation for Burroughs' works.
The following quote was provided by ERB Scholar Fredrik Ekman to whom I express my gratitude.
[Begin Quote from Fredrik]
Here is the answer, from Lee Falk himself "In the very beginning, the Phantom was the Ruler of the Jungle. I was influenced by ‘Tarzan,’ and Tarzan had been Lord of the Jungle.
After World War II, he became a Friend of the Jungle People."
[End Quote]
Above quote from NEWSDAY, issue June 10, 1996.
Why is Flash Gordon in a Burroughs group?
Flash Gordon is not a Burroughs character, but he was influenced by ERB’s works notably John Carter.
