I have been waiting for a while to start my journey into real hybrid mixing and it’s started. These are my first real analog outboard pieces and I’m super stoked. Both pieces are by and they are incredible. The top is the Opto Comp which is their take on the classic LA-2A. Man it’s so buttery smooth! The second piece is the 76F which is modeled after the famous 1176(not sure which rev, but it’s a workhorse. This is just the beginning so stay tuned for more.

Today I’m feeling grateful! It’s been a rough start to the year in some pretty interesting ways but I can truly say my heart is filled with gratitude. Im excited to see what chapter 42 brings. I will embrace the good and the bad, and everything in between!

While your there, check out the other categories available to vote in. I think this amazing because there aren’t many awards organizations that acknowledge the work on this end of the process of a record. Alot of times the work that is contributed to these amazing records heard all over the world gets overlooked, and I’m so appreciative that there is an organization like this that recognizes the other parts of the process like mixing, and mastering. It definitely helps to reassure me at least that my work, my time, creativity, investment of gear, and all of the other things that go into mixing, is not in vain.
