Gender is weird. I'm definitely a binary trans man - no pronouns other than he/him feel right, I want to be perceived as a man, my gender doesn't feel like anything but a man - but because I was perceived as/identified as a woman for so much of my life, and because all of that time I identified as q***r as some form - bi, le***an, pan, all at different points in my life (legitimately, my very first crush, on both a real person and a fictional character, were on girls) occasionally, my attraction to women or fem leaning individuals still feels *q***r*. Especially if the specific woman in question is q***r. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's a little silly, and I'd never actually let my dysphoria ruin my love for them, but sometimes for a split second or so, when I'm thinking about, or being open about, my love for dramas and like teen shows (like Degrassi, for those who are friends with me on my personal page....) I get dysphoric, because I know that from a sh*tty society perspective, men aren't "supposed to" like those kinds of things. And I'm fairly certain it's at least part of why for a period of time after I realized I was trans masc (and not gender fluid, like previously thought) I tried to force myself to identify as nonbinary. But I'm not nonbinary. I identify as a binary trans man, I just like some "girly" things that I fell in love with long before I ever identified as trans of any flavor. 🤷🏻‍♂️ And after that split second of dysphoria, I feel ridiculous because I'm allowed to love whatever makes me happy.

What is the "silliest" thing (in your opinion) that you get dysphoric over?

Hey all! It has been a while, wanted to check in. Hope you're all doing well. I've mostly been distracting myself with games and hobbies like cross stitching and coloring. 😅
It's been nice, but also been sort of feeling the itch to work on my channel again... But I also don't always want to go on front of the camera.
which is actually why I've been thinking, for a while, about making a WordPress or something for like, written versions of things, particularly reviews of media with trans characters!

For those of you who look up reviews before consuming a piece of media, what are some sort of consistent qualifiers/attributes you look for in your media/reviews before you decide if you're going to read/watch/whatever that book, movie/TV show, podcast, or whatever?
I know for me, I'd probably note whether the trans character is played by a cis person, and particularly what gender of cis person is playing what gender of trans person. I'd also note any common triggers, like SA, violence, that kind of thing. And maybe if the trans person falls into a hurtful stereotype?
But I'm curious what all you folks look for!

Any other trans folks really exhausted with every single comment section everywhere turning completely vile the instant trans issues are brought up? Even in spaces that are designated
/for/ trans folks, or groups that are meant to be progressive/leftist, it's like a damn minefield.
This exhaustion is part of the reason why I don't post here, or upload on YouTube even, as often lately. Plus, Facebook has made it almost impossible to share posts here that I find on my main page. 😬 But that's neither here nor there.
It just. Feels like unless a person is trans, or close to someone trans, all there is is vitriol for us. And I'm. Tired.
Thinking of just completely receding from most popular social media platforms and just spending my time in Minecraft, stardew, Tumblr, and Pinterest. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Every time a transphobe brings up regret in regards to trans people getting gender affirming care, we need to bring up the countless ways cis people do the same without anyone batting an eye. And I don't just mean cis women getting breast augmentation, or nose jobs, or botox, or whatever else. I mean men going on testosterone for low s*x drive or getting hair plugs, hell even pe**le implants/reconstruction, or jaw contouring surgeries. And some cis men get a condition called gynecomastia, where they get overdeveloped breast tissue. So they too could go through top surgery!
Can we please just normalize ALL people doing whatever they want to feel comfortable in their own skin? As long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, what does it matter?

I just wanted to apologize for being inactive. I've been exhausted for multiple reasons, and it's made it hard to even do much on this page.
The latest thing to f**k with my mental health has been the school shooting in Nashville this week, and the responses to it from a lot of different sources. It has been hard to be hopeful, and I haven't wanted to put that energy out there on this page.

I did want to stop by and just say that I love you all. and I feel for you if you're also having a hard time due to the climate surrounding trans people in the US.

So, I have a video idea I've wanted to do for a while. I want to "interview" (either actually - us be in a video/voice call and me record it, asking you the questions, or not so actually, where you record yourself answering the questions) a handful of people of all different gender identities, mostly as a way to show how different gender is, and how /individualistic/ it is. This would ***not*** be a paid thing, as I do not make any money from my youtube channel at the moment, and everything is at my own expense, but I WOULD give you the space to promote anything you may want to in the same "interview"/space (as long as it's not hateful/offensive at all - I reserve the right to look into it, and edit out us talking about it before uploading it, if it is questionable).
I'd like a few people, but if I get a lot of interest for this, maybe I could turn it into a series - just talking to people of all sorts of identities about their experiences with gender and stuff.
