Happy 37 weeks baby boy 🤍

FULL TERM & so the baby window is officially open for business 🤯

What’s new?:

🔸Currently full of sinusitis, not ideal. V painful.
🔸Hospital bag is packed in a fashion.
🔸Nursery is done (except blind isn’t up yet) but messy.
🔸Bedside cot is built but no bedding on.
🔸Hospital snacks have been purchased & some have been eaten. Need to re buy.
🔸Celebrating my baby shower this weekend with fave ladies.
🔸excited to meet my little man, but happy for him to stay in for another week or so at least 🥰
🔸having 2 car seats in the car feels oddly normal.

She’s doing it, she’s really doing it.

Personal trainer, women’s health specialist course, unit 1 exam PASSED ☑️

I breathe a huge sigh of relief now I know I have passed that exam. It was far tougher than I had anticipated, but I’m glad my baby brain didn’t do me over and allowed me to retain the information 😂

1 down, lots more to go 💪🏽

I can’t wait to become a coach, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for YEARS. But I feel like I’m doing it at the right time in my life, to be able to be the best coach for my future clients.

Having been through all I’ve been through over the last 10 years, injuries, infertility, ivf, pregnancy, weight gain, weight loss, PCOS, fitness, motherhood, etc etc. I know I’m going to have so much real personal experience that will be so valuable for me to share with others.

I can’t wait to help the people who need someone who understands exactly what it’s like to be where you are right now.

Chipping away day by day for the last 21 weeks has clearly paid off!

I wanted to get Fit for 30. And I got serious about my goal after my trip to Turkey in June 2022. That was 22 weeks ago.

I’m now 30. I feel the best I’ve ever felt. The leanest & strongest for sure. Im just over a stone and a half down in this time. And 2 and a half stone down since January/since having Jax (20 months ago)

I haven’t done anything crazy. I’ve been mindful of what I ate. Personally I like to track and calorie count, it works for me. I’ve exercised (CrossFit ILY ❤️) 5 times per week. And I’ve tried my best to get my steps in.

The most important thing in all of this has been consistency. It wouldn’t have happened without it. Showing up as often as I can. Weighing In and staying accountable.

Unfortunately there are no quick fixes. It doesn’t happen over night.

I hope I can show you what happens if you just stick to it. Just keep chipping away💃🏼

Today is world IVF day. This marks the date of the first IVF baby, 44 years ago.

Two years ago today, we had our frozen embryo transfer on our first round of IVF.

I had IVF due to my Fallopian tubes being blocked, with what, we don’t know. I’m exploring that further this year. But it did lead us to this point.

Two years ago, we were in the height of the pandemic so the transfer was something I had to do alone as Mark wasn’t allowed into the hospital.

After starting my round of IVF in the previous November I was finally ready & allowed to have the embryo that had been on ice for almost 7 months transferred back to me.

It went smoothly from what I could tell. Mark and I went for McDonald’s fries (IYKYK) and then headed for pizza. We saw our friends that evening and went about life for the next two week anxious, excited and hopeful.

Today, I am endlessly chasing our adventurous toddler around! We’ll today we was pushing me around on his scuttlebug.

I’m grateful to the doctors and embryologists that developed these techniques 44 years ago. Because without them We wouldn’t have our Ocean Boy 🌊 .

Feels so good to be travelling again!

This trip was always going to feel different because we have Jax now. Less time doing nothing, more time hunting for shade and playing with colourful toys. As different as that is to our old ways, I love it.

We’ve started compiling a list of holiday must haves when travelling with a baby. I’m quickly learning Jax didn’t need outfits as
A) he wants to be in just a nappy in the day (sporting obvs)
B) he sleeps through dinner 😂

So after 2 and a half days, our must haves are:

Jet travel pram has been UNREAL. It folds down to cabin bag size so went easily on the plane. Wheels like a suitcase with the handle, unlike most other travel prams bay need to be carried. Also learning the basket underneath is bigger than I though!

life saver when the pram needs a wobble for naps. Saves you when you’re eating or want 5 mins.

buggy organiser. It’s a staple for me at home. It’s a staple for me here. And suprisingly it doesn’t tip the stroller over 👏🏽

Toys & toys & toys. All your baby’s faves. We have firefly, , amongst a few other bits.

I have two extra large muslin blankets from they’re perfect on holiday as a lightweight blanket. They double up as great blankets/shade when Jax is in the carrier at home too. Super cute patterns too.

for providing darkness when we go to dinner and for short periods of time when the sun is too low for the hood to protect Jax’s face.

We have also brought our own night light as I find getting the lighting right at bedtime hard in hotels and air b&bs. And also we have bought an inflatable baby bath for Jax to use too as the sink was too small from photos I didn’t feel comfortable with him in the shower every day (but each to their own) we have for both items

We also bought our white noise machine which we absolutely love! But someone left it on the coach (🙋🏼‍♀️) so we have been using our phones. Good old saving the day. Don’t @ me for my wrapped this year 🙈

Our little ocean boy living upto his name 🌊

We have been taking Jax swimming since he was 7 weeks old. And in the first term at he has learnt so much! Including holding his breath on cue!

I knew from the moment I was pregnant that swimming lessons were something I definitely wanted to do. And it was definitely something I wanted Mark to take him to. They both love having that special time together!

At the end of his first term, we opted to have the underwater Photoshoot done! And Jax did not disappoint!

All being well we are going to be taking Jax on his first holiday very soon and the skills he has learnt at water babies will keep us both chilled knowing he loves being in the water!

I was in induced at 37 weeks and 6 days pregnant after issues with Jax’s growth and a scan threw out an issue with a high cord PI.

The induction process was long and not the nicest experience for me. It took a long times for my cervix to dilate enough for the doctors to break my waters. Along with the hormonal drip it was intense. Not what I was expecting from labour at all if I’m completely honest.

In the end Jax was born via an assisted (forceps) delivery with an episiotomy 🙃 it wasn’t at all what I had in mind. But at the end of the day our miracle baby boy arrived in our arms as safely as possible and in great health. And that was all we could have ever asked for. He came into our lives and became our world.

Our perfect miracle IVF baby ❤️

After a pcos diagnosis, finding out both of my tubes were blocked, IVF referral, a ridiculous amount of injections, an unexpected freeze all, a pandemic that cancelled our FET and finally a successful transfer of our only good blastocyst.

We got you. You are ours. And I’ll forever be grateful ❤️

By no stretch has it been an easy journey but it has been our journey to you, Jax Ocean Robinson 🌊

To all those still on their journey to their babies, I am wishing you all of the love & light in the world for your to get where you want to be ✨ I hope I can continue to help you along your rainbow road to reach your pot of gold 🌈
