Greg and I will be in TN during most of March to go through our storage. We are going to sell some tools, etc, but will be donating clothing and household goods. I'm looking to find a place to send the items where they can get the most use. I'd rather see them in the hands of someone who needs it now. If anyone has any suggestions, that would have been much appreciated!

Finished up the 1st of January 2024 with our last day at the Trapper Nelson Interpretive Site. We're HOPING to head out tomorrow, heading to our next commitment at Payne's Creek Historic State Park, near Bowling Green, FL. It was a blessing to spend the last four months here. The life we live isn't the "norm", but we love it and are grateful for it. Take care, Jonathan Dickinson State Park and we'll see you later!

What. The. Junk..... we got back Wednesday to Franklin County and I had a sore throat on our last travel day. Went to see doc yesterday, and now, after avoiding it for three years, guess who had covid.

We have officially started the last leg of this adventure. It has been an exciting month full if new memories!

Today, I learned that it IS possible to go 10 mph and have your truck say it is getting 0 mpg.... low and slow on a decently steep hill with no momentum. 😆

We were blessed to be able to go out on a whale-watching excursion today. We boarded the boat (approx. 115' long) in Plymouth, MA and cruised out to sea for about an hour and a half. We saw over 30 different humpback whales and were even able to watch them feed. They hunt in groups and "corral" the fish into large tightly knot balls by blowing bubbles under and around them, then all come up from below to get their huge mouths full of fish. There are two clues to tell where they're going to feed: the water will change color because of the bubbles and the birds, mostly seagulls, are visible where they're going to come up. Yesterday, we went on the Whirlpool Jet boat in Lewiston, NY. The boat (2,000 HP tri-engine (Volvo Penta turbo diesels)) can cruise above 60 mph, which is needed because the current in some of the rapids can run 45 mph. We chose the dry boat ride because I didn't feel like getting wet. I felt that was a good choice because the first time anyone outside of the cabin got wet, it was a guy sitting outside directly in front of me who took 50 gallons to the side of the face. The Niagara River is still cold, even in July.
