In Memory of Johnny Wactor

Our heartbreak of this senseless loss of Johnny’s life is beyond understandable. We offer our deepest condolences to his mother, Scarlett and his brothers Lance and Grant. There are no words to comfort you for this tragic loss. Just know that we were blessed to have known Johnny and to have experienced his talent in Hannibal Media’s feature film USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.

He was a very talented man who was gentle, kind hearted and had a wonderful sense of humor. The film was an homage to the sailors of the USS Indianapolis so the actors were mostly young men. It was a truly fun, exciting time during filming to have all of these talented actors working together. Many wonderful memories were made of which Johnny was a part of especially his performance as "Connor". Johnny will forever be remembered as a generous, kind and fun loving man.

We love you and miss you!

Our hearts our broken at the news of Henry Deas passing. He was a dear friend and colleague. From the very start of our business he was a true champion of the Independent Film World. We have so many dear memories of him as I am sure many others do who counted him as a friend and colleague. It seems surreal that his infectious smile and positive outlook will no longer be around. He always had the best stories about the business and the people he knew and met through all of these years. He will be greatly missed and his impact on the independent film world will always be fondly remembered.

Thank you Henry for enriching our lives we love you and will miss you!

It is with great sorrow that we remember our colleague and friend Tom Sizemore. We had the privilege of working together on two films USS Indianapolis (with Nicolas Cage) and Speed Kills (with John Travolta). Tom was a talented actor who brought uniqueness to the character he was portraying. His great sense of humor and storytelling will be remembered. We will greatly miss you!

Hannibal is launching sales at the virtual EFM on action TV series Paper Empire, starring Wesley Snipes, Robert Davi, Denise Richards, Steve Guttenberg, Anne Archer, Robert Knepper, Michael Nouri, and guest appearances from Kelsey Grammer and Danny Glover.

The show was penned and directed by Robert Gillings and executive-produced by Michael Tadross Jr., Alexander Nistratov, and William Heming. Filmed in Miami FL and NY, the series follows Laurence Fintch (Davi) of Fintch Wealth Management Services, who seems to have it all figured out to become the greatest financial fraudster through the use of his cryptocurrency technology. After an FBI pursuit Fintch ends up in jail but hatches a plan for a daring breakout.

The first eight episodes have been completed with production to resume for the filming of two additional episodes.

Here’s a first image from The Lady of Heaven, Eli King’s historical drama chronicling two interviewing storylines set centuries apart: A young Iraqi child’s journey amidst a battle-scarred country to learn the power of patience, and the historical tale of Lady Fatima.

The $15M movie stars Ray Fearon, Christopher Sciueref, Mark Anthony Brighton, Denise Black, Lucas Bond, Sami Karim, Albane Courtois, Matthew Brenher, Chris Jarman, Yasmin Mwanza, Dimitri Andreas and Oscar Garland. It is produced by Matthew Kuipers and Enlightened Kingdom, and executive produced by Richard Rionda Del Castro, Irakli Chikvaidze and Abdul Malik Shlibak. Oscar winner John Stephenson was as creative consultant.

Hannibal Media will be handling worldwide rights at the virtual European Film Market this week.

Captain America and The Purge star Frank Grillo is set to star in action-thriller M.I.A.

Kevin Carraway (Chain Of Command) is set to direct the script penned by Scott Windhauser (Hurricane Heist). Aleksander Vayshelboym (Red Hour) will co-star with Grillo.

Richard Rionda Del Castro of Hannibal Media will finance, produce and act as world sales agent, kicking off business at this week’s virtual EFM. Grillo will executive-produce with Frederico Lapenda.

Rounding out the production team will be Amanda Cook (The Brawler) of Embolden Pictures who will produce with Carraway and Rionda Del Castro.

Rionda Del Castro states: “I am excited to be on this fast-paced action ride and thrilled to be working with Frank Grillo. This keep you guessing adventure is a perfect fit for Hannibal’s slate in 2021. Grillo is spot on to take on the character of Jax and keep the audience enthralled through the end. We are now looking to cast our villain.”

Hannibal’s slate includes action-adventure , Bounty, Crimson Blues, Welcome to Rio and the recently announced sequel to Give Em Hell Malone starring Thomas Jane and produced by Courtney Lauren Penn.

Thomas Jane is returning as a gun man for hire in the upcoming sequel to 2009’s “Give ‘Em Hell, Malone.” Mark Hosack, the screenwriter for the first film, is returning to pen the follow-up.

Renegade Entertainment, the production company co-founded by Courtney Lauren Penn and Jane, is teaming up with Richard Rionda Del Castro’s Hannibal Media for the still-untitled sequel. Penn, Jane and Rionda are producing. Hannibal Media is fully financing the film, as well as handling worldwide sales and co-representing North America rights with Paradigm.

Principle photography is slated to begin in the third quarter of 2021.

Hannibal Media Repays Hamni Bank $9.7M Loan

Hannibal Media Inc. is proud to announce the repayment of the loan facility with Hamni Bank. for the film Speed Kills in the amount of $9.7M.

The film was shot in Puerto Rico and starred John Travolta, Kellan Lutz, Kathryn Winnick, Jordi Molla, Tom Sizemore, Jennifer Esposito, Matthew Modine and James Remar.

CEO, Richard Rionda Del Castro stated “Hannibal Media is pleased to have once again fulfilled its financial obligations with an entertainment lender during this challenging time and want to thank Robert Bartlett and Sandy McKerroll as well as the Hamni Bank credit committee executives. Hannibal Media has received multiple offers from China and Eastern Europe for its sports drama “Lev Yashin: The Dream Goalkeeper.”

Hannibal launched sales last week at the American Film Market in Santa Monica, Calif. The film is directed by Vasiliy Chiginskiy from a script by Aleksandr Polozov, Valdimir Valutskiy and Kremlin Film producer Oleg Kapanets.

Aleksandr Fokin stars in the title role opposite Yuliya Khlynina. The feature is set to premiere in Russia on Nov. 28 through MeGoGo.
