30 years ago today, 7 year old Eugene arrived at JFK airport from Ukraine. Today I raise a glass of gratitude for this amazing country. With all its flaws, cracks, and wrinkles it’s still a wonderful place to call home. Forever grateful to my parents for take the leap and giving me a far better future than stood in front of me. This gay boy gets to be married to the man of his dreams, have the best friends on the planet, enjoy a strong bond with his family, and live life to its fullest.
