PARTY DICHOTOMY: Time To Mend The Broken Walls Of Discord .

——Attack on Governor Obaseki's achievements by Section of Edo PDP is unnecessary Counter- Productive, And A Big Shame To Those Involves In Such Obnoxious Attitude.

It is a Common adage that there is nothing new under the Sun.
Consequently one can postulate that there is no human activity on Earth that has never existed before now as all holy Books from the Holy Bible, Koran, Bagavita and African Traditional Histrionics contains tales of examples of modern Occurrences from Natural Disasters such as Thunder, Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions as well as Ocean Surges and Windstorms .

One can not also leave out man caused Tragedies and Inventions such as Wars , Navigations ,Games, Adventures, Literary Compositions, Researches especially in Medicine and other Scientific Discoveries.

In the natural Struggle for space as ordained by God according to the Christian Religion in the Holy Bible that Man must toil to eke out a living. Humans are bound to disagree at some points, but the ability of Man to navigate through these Challenges amicably resolve their differences, Sheathe their Swords , Bury their differences and forge ahead distinguishes Man from other living Beings. Infact History has vindicated that a Million Relationships emerge from disagreements to be stronger, More Formidable and Repositioned towards achievements of organizational or Common Goals.

It is to this end that one is fixed to visit the Squabbles amongst the Hierarchy of the People's Democratic Party in Edo State and appealed to them to urgently meet and reconcile their differences.
We the Members of Edo State Social Media Force have since come to realize that the Quarrel has now become unnecessary and if not resolved now will lead to Collosal disadvantage towards achieving Goals or Purposes that Political Parties are Fundamentally Organized or established for.

We want to draw attention to a recent unwarranted dimension that the Quarrel has assumed when some Members of the Legacy Group, the factional part of the party who are not supporters of the governor began to throw tantrums at the achievements of the Governor of Edo State Mr Godwin Obaseki who had gathered the whole World to celebrate a record Seven year achievements at the annual Edo Summit also known as ALAGHODARO where the State has become the best stop shop for Investors who are pouring to key into Grand Policies on Ease of doing Business, Research Hunters in Education Sector, Tax and Civil Service Reforms has moved Government Administration from Analogue to Digital Methodology as well as other Key Areas of Resounding Development which have made the Governor a house hold name. And as such, no human being in his right frame of mind would want to fight against such an unprecedented and exceptional good work by the governor.

And as such, we are surprised at the attack by the so called legacy group of the party who are not more than 50 members in the entire state as in Edo North there is nothing like legacy group as well as Edo Central, except in Edo South where we have few of them parading themselves as legacy group.

It’s high time we stopped deceiving ourselves, if you think the 50 members of the entire legacy group will produce a governor in the next 1000 years to come, you better wake up and queue behind the Governor and the party before it will be too late for an amendment. We wouldn’t know if you guys have forgotten that even when PDP haven’t divided after the administration of Chief Lucky Igbinedion we have never won any governorship election in the state let alone the 50 members of the so called legacy to win a gubernatorial election or produce the party candidate ahead of 2024.

The was the same legacy group that went as far as working with the opposition party believing they will be compensated with positions. Like as it’s normally say, our umbrella is very wide to accommodate whoever that decides to join. 2024 is around the corner, and a divided house cannot stand. Those who still pitch tent as legacy should embrace peace with the Governor ,a man who has worked hard to put Edo State in spotlight.

If anyone has an Aspirant that he or she is projecting ,let them go ahead and sell such individual by Letting the entire people know what he/she is capable of doing rather than attacking another aspirant in the same political party, indeed our democracy has outgrown the system of character assassination. The forming of the kangaroo group also known as legacy coalition won't yield any result but further damage the integrity of you all.

As a well recognized media outfit ,we are not pleased with the activities of the so called legacy group. We know all your antics and tricks ,and we are using the medium to passionately appeal to everyone who are still in that group to meet the Governor on a round table dialogue and see how to Mend the Broken Walls against 2024

The recent seven years celebration of Alaghodaro programme showcased the level and height that Edo state has attained within the comity of states on the bases of foresight and by deploying the state resources to achieving the highest standards of service and living for the good people of the State.

Members of the Edo State Social Media Force wish to state categorically clear that as much as we understand that Aggrieved Members of PDP have their Fundamental Human Rights to exercise their Grievances the best way they can to draw attention to their Plights, by attracting attention of the Public thereby compelling the Governor to come down from his Olympian Height to negotiate with them we like to educate them that they should also understand that in any Game especially in Politics there are standard Rules of Engagements. Just like in Boxing that it is forbidden to jab below the Belt it is also very offensive to kick below the Belt in Political Engagements .
Such Misdemeanors attract sever Sanctions .

As a well recognized media outfit, we look at the allegations that Governor Obaseki gave out money to some people at a meeting held with an Elder-statesman and former governor of the State Chief John Odigie Oyegun as frivolous, malicious, unacceptable and baseless accusation

Although it is in the Public Arena that some of the Members of the Legacy Group worked for the Opposition in the Last general Election and are still bent on doing so in the future exercise for Pecuniary Benefits, they should understand that Nature abhors unnecessary Grandstanding while the Cosmic Affairs of Man is solely under the Control of forces beyond Man. Consequently they will be disappointed as the good People of Edo State are with their amiable Governor Mr Godwin Obaseki

following those analogies, we Appeal to the Legacy Group to adopt civilized and Rational Approach to their Advocacy for self Actualization so that at the end of the day they will not throw the Baby and the Bath Water away instead throwing stones of distraction and destruction.

So Edo State Social Media Force at this juncture will like to remind the Legacy Group how it was impossible for the Edo PDP to Occupy the number one Seat of Power in the State despite their Popularity , Strength, Organizational Acumen and even Financial Bouyancy when the Party Controlled the Central Government in Abuja. The Edo PDP woefully failed in all their Strategies, Struggles to Clinch Power in the State .

We are still in deep wonder what the Legacy Group will achieve if they succeed. God forbid anyway to detract the moving Train of the Progressive Governance by the Record Achieving Wake and See Governor Godwin Obaseki.

We make bold to say that the Record Achievements of Governor Godwin Obaseki in moving Edo State forward from where other Past Governors stopped can not be wished away by the Antics of a Few Members of the Legacy Group and tasked them to find better ways to Appeal to the Governor to grant them Audience so that they can become part of the Moving Train.

Edo State Social Media Force kindly calls on the Leadership of the Party to find amicable Solution to the bickering amongst the Members so that we call talk with one voice as the 2024 Governorship Election draws near .

EDO 2024:- FAIRNESS AND EQUITY MUST BE THE WATCHWORD FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

_At This Political Dispensation, Edo Central Should Produce The Next Governor While Oredo Local Government Area Of Edo South Shoud Be Zeroed Out From Top Elective Positions Vehemently, As Fairness And Equity We Stands_

Right from 1999 when democracy was enthroned in Nigeria,the principle of fairness and equity has always been a major factor in ensuring that all ethnic groups are adequately integrated within the scope of government. Nigeria is a multi-ethnic nation and each group must be inclusive and adequately represented at all sphere. Today ,we have grown as one indivisible entity since the introduction of democratic process in 1999.

Edo State is not an exceptional when it comes to ethnic groups. The state is made of up three major tribes which are Bini ,Esan and Afemai. The principle of equity and fairness has played a vital role in the governing process of the state. Even though at some point there are some political permutations that utter the process ,fairness in ensuring that no ethnic group is left out has been a major watchword and criteria

From the administration of Mr Lucky Igbinedion down to Mr Adam Oshiomole, fairness in arranging top political positions is always key. The administration of Mr Godwin Obaseki is making sure that this principle is not truncated by sentiment or favoritism. Looking at the position of things, Edo North has produced a governor for eight years in the person of Mr Adam Oshiomole while an Edo South Deputy was picked in the person of Mr Pius Odubu. During the reign of Mr Lucky Igbinedion ,an Edo North person was taken as the deputy , Mr Mike Ogiadomen. Edo Central has always lost in all these permutations, even though the administration of Mr Osariemen Osunbor was short lived.

The present government has the Governor,Mr Godwin Obaseki from Edo South while the deputy is from Edo north. The hooting for the son of the soil is a game to truncate the principle of fairness and equity. Governor Godwin Obaseki is from Oredo who has less than 1year to complete his 8years, the former Senator Mathew Uroghide is from Oredo who has done 8years and the former member of the House of Representative ,Hon Ogbeide Ihama is also from Oredo who has done 8years.

Are there no other local government area in Edo South? If the principle of fairness must have it way, no principal position should come from Oredo local government council. We have Ikpoba Okha ,Egor, and others. Let us beam our search light to that direction as the best option come 2024.

If All things being equal, the next Governor should emerged from Edo Central, the deputy governor should come from other local government council in Edo South excluding Oredo who has produced a senator and governor respectively.

TALKING ABOUT HOME BOY AND NOT BRINGING IN A STRANGER AS THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF THE STATE.

For those persons who believes in Home Boy and other principal Values of describing the next governor of the state come 2024, How does Home Boy describes the antecedents of someone, Sincerity of purpose in piloting the affairs of the state to the general interest of Edo people? If we may respond to that, The home boy or star boy of a matter has nothing to do with the qualification of a person or individual.

The Former Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole before he became the governor, he was not playing politics in Edo State, but in kaduna state where he has his house, family, business and all. But he was chosen to come to AC by Chief Igbinedion as stranger . And today , do you want to say , Adams Oshiomhole didn’t performed well because he was not an HOME BOY but IMPORTER ?

Same goes to the present governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki. Do you want to say , Godwin Obaseki is not doing well because he is not an HOME BOY, but IMPORTER ?

The truth must be told, EDO deserves a capable hand and experience person to take over from the present government come 2024.

As we gear toward the end of the Governor Obaseki led administration who has done extremelywell to put Edo State among the best in Education ,science and technology and other infrastructural achievements, the mega project is an agenda to finish well and strong ,therefore let us support the Governor to conclude the great work he has began eigth years ago.

POLITICAL IMBROGLIO: A CALL FOR PEACE BETWEEN EDO STATE GOVERNMENT AND AGGRIEVED MEMBERS OF THE PDP ACROSS THE STATE

There is a popular saying that to err is human and to forgive is divine. The political vendetta that has ravaged the political hub and fulcrum of all members of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has become a thing of great concern. Edo State Social Media Force, a foremost Frontline media influencer in the state beam its searchlight to analyze the situation and proffer lasting solution to the lingering crisis.

Every four years ,government comes and go, but the people still remain. The beauty of every political process is the ability of all people within and outside the corridor of power to work in partnership for the growth and development of the state. Husband and wife at home do experience quarrel at some point, and political actors are not immune against quarrel or discord at the same time. This most time emanate either through personal ambition or self interest as the case maybe.

The political feud within the (PDP) across the state has become a worrisome matter as political actors are not willing to bury their hatches. Is this what we really want? Does personal interest supercede the overall party or people’s interest. The dichotomy created within the party in the state which resulted into two factions; the Governor side and the legacy group has never help but further deepened the crisis. It is unheard that in a PDP state ,we couldn't produce the majority to represent the party at the national assembly simply because we have a disintegrated house.

The recent feud between the Governor and his Deputy, Comrade Phillip Shaibu has become a serious threat to the party and some online media and junk journalists are cashing on this to further cause more harm in their write up, thereby blowing the news out of proportion. Yes ,there are evidence that the deputy governor went to court to stop a planned impeachment which the governor has debunked and the state house of Assembly corroborated the governor's assertion. The bottom line to all these political rancor is for the Deputy Governor to first withdraw the impeachment case he filled in court then come to the round table because PDP is a leadership party, so the issue should be solved at the leadership of the party and the state house of assembly.

Again, the Governor should see everyone as his subject, because politics is a game of number that we cannot afford to see great personalities defecting from our party to another. A similar case of this happened in Lagos state where court cases challenging the deputy governor was withdrawn to allowed the assembly and the party leadership to wade into the matter where the impeachment was reverted on the bases of no fraud or criminal tendencies. Edo State Deputy Governor has not committed any crime to the cast out as a criminal. All we need is to join hand and settle the matter rather than allowing the media to feast on the issue to sell their organization.

Presently, there is an expanded reconciliation meeting going on across the 18 local government council to ensure that peace and Unity reign within the party ahead of 2024. The Governor should embrace the recommendations of the reconciliation meeting and support their needs to ensure there is a smooth running process among all party members across the state.

This Committee is made up of both factions of the party and as such, it is expedient that the Governor and his deputy uses this reconciliation process that is ongoing to settle their differences. It is also a time for the media team of both parties to be conscious of what they put out for public consumption. The media is expected to be mending fence and not the broken walls to both parties. Edo State Social Media Force is a neutral body that is unbiased media influencer. The truth is all we represent for peace and Unity to reign in our state.

We are watching out to see the outcome of the ongoing reconciliation meeting. And as such, we wish Godwin Obaseki and Philip Shaibu to judiciously apply wisdom to put an end to the crisis.

Henceforth, any media body, found propagating or promulgating message of disunity in the state will have us to engage with on social media as we will not hesitate to react badly or insultingly to such obnoxious message.

At this point a time, we would not fail to appreciates the foremost leader, a Dogged Democrat, a man with many parts, an exceptional leader, a renowned philanthropist, a political juggernaut, a leader that speaks truth to power, the Edo South PDP Senatorial Leader, Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie for his unprecedented determination to unite the party.

PDP STAKEHOLDERS MEETING: Edo South PDP Leaders Converge To Strengthen Their Oneness Ahead of 2024

Sequel to the reconciliation meeting of all aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party held at Kada House, Edo South political stalwart and leader, convener of the reconciliation process , Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie gathered all the aggrieved leaders across the seven local government council areas of Edo South Senatorial District in an expanded meeting to find a lasting solution to the political Imbroglio that has disintegrated all members of the party. The Edo South leader appreciated every members who find out time out of their tight schedule to be at the reconciliation meeting to forestall peace among aggrieved members across the Senatorial District

In the last meeting which saw some political juggernauts like PA Dickson Imasogie ,Senator Rowland Owie ,Prof. Agbonlahor,Chief Eweka all supported the reconciliation move in a bid to help build the party rather than allowing it to crumble. In an opening Remarks ,Rev Egharevba welcomed all delegates and leaders present thanking them for sacrificing their time to attend this important meeting to resolve the lingering crisis among the members of party across the seven local government council areas that made up Edo South Senatorial District.

In different reactions,Prince Austin Eweka advice that it is time to put aside all grievances ,work together for the forthcoming local government council areas election and 2024 governorship election.. Hon Monday Osaigbovo, commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs equally appeal to all parties aggrieved that it is time to focus and work together as one ahead of next year. In a similar reaction ,Senator Rowland Owie as well pleaded with all and sundry to let bygone be bygone ,therefore ,it is important we focus ahead of 2024

The report from the sub committee of six(6)set up from the previous meeting held at Kada House headed by Prof Dennis Agbonlahor gave their findings; that the Committee was able to reached out to eighteen serious aggrieved leaders on the need to bury their hatches and see how we can build the party together. According the the committee chairman, Hon Ogbeide Ihama gave his candid support for such move at a time when things has really gone bad and believe that the reconciliation process will put an end to all differences.

The committee further recommends for a three sub Committee for continuous consultations. The Committee set up are: contact/mobilization committee, resource committee and Edo South elders Council committee with a secretary for documentation of all discussions. It is agreed by the house that two members from each local government council areas across the seven local government be allowed to speak to the house on the way forward on how to strengthen the party.

Edo South Senatorial Leader of the Peoples Democratic, a humanitarian a renowned philanthropist, a man that speaks truth to power, Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie has debunked the rumor making round the town that he collected money from Edo State governor ,Mr Godwin Obaseki to organise a reconciliation meeting which took place at Edo South Party Secretariat, Kada House on Tuesday, 1st of August. The elder statesman who has been at the forefront during the registration of the party in Abuja in 1998 has call on those persons spreading the fallacious and malicious information to desist from such obnoxious attitude that will soon head them disgracefully

_*Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie said, The people who are engineering this frivolous information are enemies of the party who do not want peace to reign because all they are out for is their pocket. I personally used my money to organise the meeting. I own the Governor of Edo State no kobo ,all I am out to do is to ensure that the party I followed to register the PDP should not die while I am still alive*_

The perpetuators of this act should refrain from such unprofitable attitude because if such persist, names would be mentioned so that the public will know those who are in support of the progress and success of the party and those who are sucking the common wealth of the state.

Reconciliation is a normal way to resolves issues ,it is not a time to be thinking of how money will exchange hands. This peace talk is over due since the general election was held in February. My primary concern is to ensure that there is unity and peace within the party. The governor came to meet us in the party three years ago, and if there is any challenge ,it is important such is addressed rather than causing dichotomy within the party structure. I am using this medium to passionately inform all those tearing the party apart and causing disharmony among party members to embrace peace.

These set of persons are the ones who want the party to fail. They don't have the party at heart. All they desire is what they can gain for themselves and their stooges. We will resist their antics and show them the way out of the party if they fail to spread unwanted rumor without a verify facts.
