Back in the late 1990’s Julia Hill climbed a 1500-year-old redwood tree named Luna and she didn’t come down for another 738 days.
🌳❣
From December 1997 to December 1999, she lived in the canopy of a giant 1500 year old redwood tree named Luna. She ended her revolutionary action when an agreement was made with Pacific Lumber Company to spare the tree and a 200 foot buffer zone surrounding the tree.
🌳❣
Once up the tree, she vowed not to come down until she had made a difference. Clinging to her mattress through violent storms, supported with food and necessities by a ground crew, she stayed two years and eight days.
🌳❣
Now that's a perfect example of amazing dedica❣tion, passion and purpose.

Happy World Tourism Day
" If you are not willing to take responsibility for mother earth; neither mountains nor beaches are ever calling you again! " - Dollyy A Kataaria
🌐🏕🏖
The Tourism Working Group meeting which was held from 22nd to 24th May 2023 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir aimed at Eco-Tourism. FYI, Ecotourism is not simply visiting natural attractions/sights/places but also doing so in a responsible and sustainable manner. Be a responsible tourist. Do not leave trash behind at tourist spots, roadside, forests, gardens. Somebody lives there.
🌐🏕🏖
On the World Tourism Day 2023, let's summon back to the times when plastic was not a menace present in sea water, rain water and food chain. When air pollution, masks and AQI were not the kind of topics one should be bothered about. Come let's make world clean again cause it's never too late until you quit trying.

Tigers tongue is covered with small, sharp, rear-facing projections called
PAPILLAE.
🐅
PAPILLAE is strong enough to remove paint from wall.
🐅
Imagine a friendly tiger simply licking human skin like pet dog!?!

*Do people in Australia call the rest of the world "up over"?
*Does that screwdriver belong to Philip?
*Does killing time damage eternity?
*Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
*Why is it called lipstick if you can still move your lips?
*Why is it that night falls but day breaks?
*Why is the third hand on the watch called a second hand?
*Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio?

Did you know that only 7 players have been rated #1 in the world (standard chess) since the FIDE rating list was first published in July 1971?

Here is the list with years when the player was #1 in at least one of that year's rating lists:

Robert Fischer: 1971-1975
Anatoly Karpov: 1976-1983, 1985
Garry Kasparov: 1984-2006
Vladimir Kramnik: 1996, 2008
Veselin Topalov: 2006-2009
Viswanathan Anand: 2007-2008, 2010, 2011
Magnus Carlsen: 2010-2021

The record for the longest time at the top stands with Garry Kasparov. He has dominated the rating list for 22 years from 1984 until his retirement in 2005. There were only two brief periods when his top spot was taken - by Karpov in July 1985 and by Kramnik in January 1996.
