There are many distractions these days.

I find myself often pausing and just thanking the Lord. He is so full of mercy.

His grace is sufficient.
He supplies our every need regardless of what we think that should look like (🤣).

Instead of having our heads down, buried in the sand, we need to keep them up, alert and eager to share the Gospel! 🥰

We must be diligent in filtering everything through God's Word.

If a "prophet" is claiming to say the words of God and is wrong; We don't serve a God who gets things wrong, the prophet is not hearing from God. 💖

The division that so many speak of starts when one strays from the Gospel that we see through Christ's death on the cross and atonement for our sins.

The only way we can know the full Gospel is by being in the Word and reading the testimony of Christ in His Word.

We cannot say that we know the same Jesus of the Bible if we are claiming Jesus is who He doesn't say he is in His Word. That's not the same Jesus.

We have to define our terms.

Either God is perfect or He is not.

Either His Word is God inspired or it is not.

If we abandon the basics of historical Christianity then we are no longer followers of Christ of the Bible but of a man-made version of Christ and a false Gospel. Not Christianity at all.

That's why the Bible speaks so frequently of watching out for false teachers and doctrines.

The entire foundation falls when we deny Christ and who He says he is and what he came for in His Word.

The progressive "Christians" are not following Christ of the Bible, but a man-made version, therefore not Jesus at all.

They say they love Jesus, but who they say Jesus is isn't who Christ says He is in his word.

Reading the old and new testament give so much insight and wisdom into God's character and who he is.

In order to communicate, we must be slow to anger.
I cannot tell you how many times I have mentioned something "triggering" and gotten attacked right from the get-go before the other person has a chance of hearing me out. I am probably guilty of this, as well.
I love speaking in person because it REALLY puts my heart in check. Being wrong makes me uncomfortable. No one likes to be wrong, but to be teachable we must accept when we are wrong and not take so much offense to it.
When we don't know something we should not claim to know it.
Seeking truth in God's Word is convicting and raw. It reveals the inner workings on our hearts and cuts like a knife into our feelings and our very being. Sin is uncomfortable. Confronting our sin seems sometimes unbearable; but it must be done.
We HAVE to as Believers understand feelings are important (this is to me, as well), but that we must examine whether they are worth acting on or its out of being offended. How we respond matters. We must capture even our thoughts to avoid us from sinning against a brother or sister in the Lord or sinning in general.
Yes, we are saved by grace, but do we not want to walk like Christ did? Strive for the perfection that He is (even though we will never be perfected in this life)?
I pray we as Believers can have rational, Biblical conversations absent of anger and offense. That we can look each other in the face and see we are speaking to someone made in the image of God and speak Biblical truth in love to one another to edify and encourage.
We must not react like the world. Fits of anger and name calling, but with understanding and the willingness to speak truth even when it is not popular or comfortable to do so.

I fall short every single day.

I ponder on every word I have spoken, every person who God has put in my path...

I am nowhere near righteous. Which is why the gift of God's salvation is so great.

I don't deserve it. But I can't take credit for salvation given by grace and mercy ❤️

May we be reminded today of God's great sacrifice and reflect on the Gospel of Christ. ❤️

The beginning of the fruition of God's mercy and grace to save us from sin and eternal separation from God through the precious blood of Christ. ❤️❤️❤️

There are absolute reasons we have the Bible.

If we do not believe everything the Bible says, then our accountability is gone.

If we decide that we will only believe the parts we like, then the entire point of what the Bible is for, is gone.

We are not going to like everything the Bible says about us (before Christ). Absent of sin, there is no need for a Savior.

So tell me, then, how can we claim to be Christians if we completely throw out all the basic, Biblical principle and doctrine that define Christianity?

Our society today tells us success is determined by the size of our business, how much we make etc.

I see it as such an idol of today. We should strive to be good stewards of what we are given, and not neglect our children and families in order to chase after the world's version of success and what it believes financial stability is.

Don't make money an idol. Of course we need money to live, but when it becomes an idol and we live outside of our means, and we are neglecting those who mean the most to us, we are failing.

Success is awesome! But we can't take our money to heaven.

In a material world that focuses so much on self advancement in many areas, we must fight the urge of coveting what others have and what we do not have.

Be a good steward of what God has given you. ❤️

Reading through the Bible with my kids! We are in Jeremiah and it all reminds me so much of the world today. Which then rabbit trails back to Ecclesiastes that nothing is new under the sun.

The bible backs up the Bible all throughout.

It's very awesome to see the relationship between different parts of the Bible throughout the whole Bible.

Brothers and Sisters:

Jesus is enough. We do not need anything extra added to the Gospel.

Just like the teachers in the day of Paul and Galatia, we must understand that works do not save us.

"Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works."
2 John 1:8-11

The Gospel and Christian life is not Jesus + something else.

It's just Jesus. Through His precious blood we are saved, not because we did anything to deserve it, but because God first loved us and sent His son to die for our sin.

We are made righteous by the blood of Christ. We cannot take any credit or honor because the gift of Salvation is just that, a gift. To God be all the glory!

There are so many teachers, today, claiming to have the secret recipe to getting closer to God. Absent of any real Biblical text to support their claims. It may leave you feeling like you need a supernatural spiritual experience to know you are saved.

This is not the case. Salvation in and of itself is the best most amazing miracle. Jesus on the cross is the most ultimate miracle.

Our sins were nailed to the cross with Christ, He died and rose again on the third day for you.

Although we are sinners, He died for us.

God is merciful, just, loving and true.

2 John just told us not to even associate with those who teach otherwise.

We as Christians need to be in the Word knowing what it says to be able to discern what is right and true. Without the Word, we are easily manipulated and deceived.

In such hard times, I am often reminded of God's mercy.

These are birth pangs. ❤️

All over the world, not just in the U.S., Believers are struggling. These are hard times for everyone.

I pray you read your Word and know who our God is.

His full character. His mercy when we repent and call out to Him. His love for us. His wrath on nations when they are in rebellion and his justice for those who are afflicted and love Him.

None of us go unseen. Even alone God sees you. He sees your heart. He knows your hurt, your sin, your needs and wants.

Nothing goes unseen.

I am praying for you all of you. For the world to know who God is and to Him be all the glory 🙏❤️.
