Just couldn’t get onto the big ones but me and Charlie still had a blast out there!!! We did the best we could with just 1 day of practice haha but sure was a grind in the scorching heat🥵

Next year probably switching over to a lot of new leagues but it’ll be the worth of the learning experiences!!

Will try to get back in next year and try again!!💪🏻

After years of fun fishing, travel fishing, and fishing just for good times and memories. We finally decided to team up and see how we both do against 99 other hammered anglers in the Blackfish tournament. You can say this is our 1st tournament together😂 but with all of our new friends and support we’ve gotten in the years, me and Charlie are gonna put our skills and knowledge together and grind it out at the blackfish tournament!!

Boat #23 and $15,000 for 1st place🙌🏻 wish us luck next Monday‼️

Due to my phone mic, I won’t be able to record a video since my mic keeps muting or cutting out. So I’ll be writing down this recap instead. August 5th minnyak and slay nation kayak tournament Conditions: Cloudy 70ish degrees 5-10mph south winds ~Start 6am~ During the start of tournament I first went to my offshore hard bottom/rock spot. With the weather conditions I slow rolled an under spin, spinner bait, and chatter bait. I haven’t gotten bit yet after throwing all those baits. All I had was my crank left and was hoping these fish was staged up on the hard bottom hump. ~6:05am~ (hard bottom/gravel) First cast with the DT-14 live bluegill color on the offshore hard bottom hump, slow reeling it in ticking the bottom and creating very light bottom disturbance. After a few turns into my reel I had a fish hammered the crank. Landed it and it was the first 5lber of the day and also my DW’d fish (sleeved covered my identifier on my hand). Measured at 19.75 inches, good and bad start of the day. On the same spot I caught that 5lber, I caught 2 3lbers about 17inches and 17.50 inches. ~6:35am~ I had caught 3 fish since but only had 2 that were qualified fish. Had to make up for the big on in the morning. I first wanted to get a limit quick so I grabbed my drop shot rod with a roboworm and fish a point with weedline and I was able to catch a 14in, a 15in, and a 13.50in to seal in my limit. ~6:50am~ Once I got my limit I moved back out to offshore structure and started covering water with my DT-14 to get to the next spot offshore spot. I picked up a few little ones but nothing worth upgrading. ~7:10am~ (hard bottom/gravel/rocks/ledge/hump/wind blown) Got to the spot I positioned the kayak and anchored down. Started casting a full 360 to see if there were and roaming fish around me. I was able to pick up any bites yet. ~7:20am~ I had livescope with me also. I panned around the area I have anchored and right about 75ft from my I saw a rock ledge and
