'NAPUTOL ’YUNG SYRINGE… HALOS HINDI NAI-VACCINE ‘YUNG LAMAN AT TUMAPON’

With COVID-19 cases in the country rising anew, the national government is encouraging individuals to get their vaccine and booster jabs. New policies were even introduced just to further expand vaccination in the country.

Netizen Jomari Benaza from Nueva Ecija wanted to be part of that effort which is why, despite being busy, he dedicated a day to get a booster shot.

“Nagulat na lang ako pag-uwi sa bahay nakita ko ’yung video ganun ang nangyari. Kaya pala sobrang sakit ng aking braso at hanggang pag-uwi sa bahay, nakaramdam na ako ng lubhang pagsakit ng aking braso,” Jomari told The Philippine STAR.

“Naputol ang syringe at bigla nyang hinila ’yung karayom na naiwan sa aking braso. Halos hindi nai-vaccine ’yung laman at tumapon. Hindi rin naman ako ininform nung vaccinator na ganun ang nangyari kahit sana umulit na lang ako ng isang vaccine ulit,” he added.

Jomari said he went back today to the vaccination site in Pag-asa Gym in Barangay F.E. Marcos, San Jose City, to try and get the booster shot again, only to be greeted with intimidation from the supervisor of the inoculation drive.

“Tinatakot po nila ako na bawal daw mag-video without consent nung vaccinator nasa batas daw ’yun. Pero kung hindi naman po ako nagpa-video hindi ko malalaman mali pala ’yung ginawa sa akin. Booster vaccinated lang ako sa papel pero hindi sa tamang dose,” he said.

“Sana sa mga susunod na magpapa-vaccine aware po baka hindi po fully injected ’yung gamot. Sa card lang sila vaccinated tulad ko,” he said.
