Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman has said that it is our national duty to stand with our flood affected brothers and sisters in difficult situations.

In a message, he issued directives to university students to collect funds, clothing, food and essential supplies for flood victims.

Governor Punjab directed to start an immediate flood relief campaign for flood victims of South Punjab and Balochistan.

He said that collected funds could be sent into the accounts of Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief Minister Punjab Relief Fund for flood relief activities.

A woman with a secret lover hired three contract killers to murder her husband - but they ended up befriending the man and staged his murder using ketchup packets.

The three paid assassins lost their nerve when it came to killing the man but instead the boyfriend of the woman has now committed su***de to avoid punishment for his role in the murder plot.

Police have identified the woman as Anupallavi and her lover as Humavanath Kumar, saying they put together the plan to kill Naveen Kumar in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Anupallavi had two children with her husband, who is a taxi driver and runs a mill, but she started having an affair and came up with the idea to murder him.

Tens of thousands of people are currently at the mercy of an exceptional monsoon season, which has wreaked havoc across Pakistan.
Pakistan is ranked eighth among counties most vulnerable to climate crises despite contributing less than one percent to global carbon emissions, according to the Climate Change Risk Index 2021.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) says since the beginning of the monsoon season in mid-June this year, more than 650 people have died across the country and hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced, with no respite from nature on the horizon.

England's first Test tour to Pakistan since 2005 has been confirmed.
England's first Test tour of Pakistan in 17 years will begin in Rawalpindi on December 1, and includes in the schedule the first Test in Multan since November 2006. The series will end with a Test in Karachi, scene of England's famous series-clinching win in the dark in December 2000. The final Test will start on December 17.

The Test series is effectively the second leg of a tour that starts with a seven-match T20I series in September-October, with the matches played in Lahore and Karachi between September 20 and October 2. The teams will leave for the T20 World Cup in Australia after that, before returning to Pakistan for the Test series.

Mohammad Hasnain will replace Shaheen Shah Afridi in the Pakistan squad for the ACC T20 Asia Cup, which will be played in the United Arab Emirates from 27 August to 11 September.

22-year-old Hasnain has represented Pakistan in 18 T20Is in which he has taken 17 wickets.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has surpassed South African Hashim Amla in the list of players amassing the most runs after 90 one-day internationals (ODI) innings.

Babar scored 91 in the third ODI against the Netherlands on Sunday to take his total ODI runs tally to 4,664, 108 runs more than Amla’s 4,556 at the same stage of his ODI career.

The Pakistani captain has 17 ODI centuries to his credit in 90 innings, which is also the most by anyone after as many innings, followed by Amla.

“Shaheen has been advised four to six weeks rest by the PCB Medical Advisory Committee and independent specialists following latest scans and reports,” the statement read.

It stated that the bowler is expected to return to competitive cricket in October with the New Zealand T20I tri-series, which will be followed by the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Australia 2022.

Inayatullah won a Bronze medal for the country after outclassing his Scottish rival, Ross Connelly, in the Men's Free Style 65 kg Wrestling event. He won the contest on the basis of technical superiority after three minutes and 59 seconds.

The Islamabad-based journalist, who is affiliated with Indian news channel WION, surfaced on Friday, with the Foreign Office in Pakistan and Ambassador Mansoor Khan in Kabul both sharing on Twitter that Mallick was “safe” and “back in Kabul”.

Hours later, WION claimed in a report that Mallick was in fact “abducted by the Taliban”.

Mallick also said tweeted on Saturday that he was kept in detention for 21 hours by Taliban authorities, reiterating the information he shared with WION earlier

The UAE is keen to continue cooperation with Pakistan “in various fields, which include gas, energy infrastructure, renewable energy, health care,” the agency added.

The move will likely help revive investor sentiment in the country, which has been beset by dwindling foreign exchange reserves as well as a depreciating rupee. However, as an IMF bailout programme becomes clearer, sentiment has improved and the stock market on Friday rallied by some 670 points.
