Today marks the 40th day of our beloved MARY ASHTRID AMELOE HAMOY BANDALA’s eternal repose. A marvelous mom and a devoted wife, a caring and loving daughter, a sister who always has a special place for us in her heart despite the differences we all have, a friend and a shoulder to lean on. Gatherings will never be the same without you and it’s going to create a hole in our hearts for we will continue to long for your presence and your craziness, the palatable dishes you’ll prepare for us, the way you sing your Aegis songs, our random conversations, our drinking buddy and when you puked, still you managed to keep your composure. My classmate in some college subjects especially in our PE class and you never wear the proper shoes, instead, you always wear clogs shoes. The way you wiggle your butt just the way Beyonce’ does in that Can I Get A song by Jay-z. It’s been a tedious struggle for her as she was admitted in the hospital for almost two months. She fought hard to surpass the state she was in , I understand in her mind she wants to fight yet her body is slowly deteriorating and she was in so much pain. But, God has other plans for her, it may be hard to fathom His purpose for now, and we all know time will surely show us His wondrous plans and reasons for each of us.
It took us a while to compose a message of thanks to everyone and we do apologize for that as we struggle to contain our emotions and the emotional turmoil we need to cope with. We truly appreciate and we are forever grateful to our families and friends for all your kindness, prayers, financial assistance, comforting messages, your continued love and support, also, to the nurses and doctors and other medical personnels who did their best to care for her and her needs. I may not be able to publish your names here, but you all know who you are and know that in our heart of hearts we will forever cherish everything you did for us and her family no matter how big or small that is. Truly, and with all our hearts, our utmost gratitude to each one of you.
The cremains of oyr dear beloved will be at their residence in Upper Turno, Dipolog City and final rites is yet to be planned.
Novena for the 40th day will start at 1800 hrs today at their residence at Upper Turno, Dipolog City and a mass will commence at 1830. An intimate gathering will be held after the mass. All will be viewed in the Legacy page.
