I would have never been willing to let you go. I just really wish you could’ve been here to continue to watch me grow. I wish I could’ve been more prepared to lose you. I guess I find comfort in knowing that you did all you could with the time given to you. There’s comfort in sitting with you where you have laid to rest for eternity. Comfort in knowing there will be no pain greater in this life than losing you to addiction, something that was out of both of our control. I don’t know why it had to be so soon. If I’m lucky I’ll have 30-40 more years of my life applying the lessons you taught me for the first 23 years of my life. I love you and I will always be forever grateful to have been your son. I miss you. 😢 ❤️
