TO THOSE WHO DOSEN'T UNDERSTAND ALCHEMY OF SOULS SEASON 2
Bu Yeon is the eldest daughter of jinyowon but she got lost in the sea after recovering the ice stone for Jin mu
The person who rescued her took her home and his wife named her mu deok
So mu deok and bu Yeon are the same person
Then Naksu a totally different person,an assassin who got injured and was about to die needed to shift her soul into a body and unfortunately bu Yeon who is also mu deok was there
Naksu soul was trapped inside mu deok's body and without having a choice she had to live as mu deok
That means the person who was with Jang UK all this while was Naksu but in mu deok/bu yeon's body
In season two,yes we saw naksu's face but they clearly explained what happened
After mu deok jumped into the lake,the leader of jinyowon took her from the lake but she was already petrified and was about to turn to stone
She begged master Lee to help her that the body belong to her long lost daughter and also that she has a feeling but yeon's soul is still inside the body since she once called her "mother"
Then master Lee told her that the only way to save her at that point was to use Naksu's energy that was inside her daughter's body and that her daughter Soul was clinging to Naksu's energy
And to use Naksu's energy,they have to get rid of bu Yeon/mu deok soul or both Naksu and bu Yeon would die
And since she can't take bu yeon's soul,she took Naksu soul and bu yeon's body
And he told her that bu yeon's body was using Naksu's energy to recover so all her body features will begin to change to Naksu's
That was why we saw Naksu's face in season 2
And also Seo Yul didn't recognise Naksu because they were only young when they met each other
