Always take the scenic route 🏜️

As our journey through Morocco came to an end, we look back on all the crazy moments we had. 🇲🇦

Our road trip from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert was definitely one for the books. In those last three days, we experienced it all- starting with excitement for the adventure, only to feel nauseous two hours in while driving through the Atlas Mountains, cuz let me tell you, that road had more curves than a bag of pretzels.🥨

From exploring epic villages like Aït Benhaddou and witnessing jaw-dropping landscapes to finally arriving at the desert for the most breathtaking sunset, we soaked it all in. 🏜️

But let’s not forget freezing to our bones that same night 🥶 (because we didn’t quite pack for desert chills), waking up at 5 a.m. for breakfast and a stunning sunrise in the middle of the dunes, and then spending an entire day traveling back to Marrakech. 🚐

Three days packed with activities, memories, and unexpected twists- and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Cheers to those unforgettable moments and to creating many more, somewhere out there in the world, beyond our comfort zones and far from the familiar. 🌎

Oh, and yes- I might still have sand everywhere. 🙄

Waking up between mountains and desert 🏜️ 🏔️

📍 Tinghir, Morocco 🇲🇦

On the second day of our group trip to Merzouga, we woke up in Tinghir, a charming town in southeastern Morocco situated between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. 🏜️

A local guide took us around the town, sharing insights about the traditions of Berber carpets (though, to be honest, there was a bit of expectation to make a purchase👀).

We also explored the breathtaking Todgha Gorge, a stunning canyon with towering cliffs, where we spotted a few hikers and rock climbers. 🧗 However, it was so windy and freezing 🥶 that this wasn’t exactly our favorite experience haha

While we wouldn’t say Tinghir is a must-visit destination in Morocco- especially since it’s not very close to Marrakech- it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re on your way to the Sahara Desert. 🐪

Have you ever been to Tinghir? We’d love to hear about your experience! 🥰

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Marrakech, look no further! 👀

We had the most amazing time at 😍! From the moment we arrived, we felt so cared for. The staff were incredible- kind, thoughtful, and always there to help without it ever feeling like too much.

One of the highlights for us was breakfast on the rooftop. The food was delicious + watching the sunrise over the city with a warm cup of coffee in hand? It doesn’t get much better than that. 🥹

For us, it’s the little moments like these that make a vacation truly special. What about you? What’s your idea of the perfect getaway? We’d love to hear! 🌅☕✨

🌸 Streets of Marrakech 🌸

Marrakech is easily one of the coolest places we’ve traveled to- so much going on: colors, smells, designs, food, and shops... 👀 One thing we can guarantee is that you’ll never get bored! 🔍 Here are some of our favorite snaps from our 2-week trip to Morocco ⬆️

All-time favourite backpack alert: 😍🔍

THINGS TO DO:
🛍️ Souk Shopping: Wander through the maze-like souks in Medina. You’ll find everything from spices to handmade treasures. Don’t forget to haggle!
☕ Mint Tea: Take a break from exploring and enjoy some traditional mint tea

🏰 Bahia Palace: Visit this palace for its the stunning architecture and gorgeous gardens

TIPS:
✅ Early mornings are perfect for exploring the Medina- cooler and quieter before the crowds show up!

We love immersing ourselves in the local culture whenever we travel, so we booked a dinner show in Marrakech featuring traditional artists, dancers, food, and ambiance- and had such a great time! 😍 We found this experience through GetYourGuide, and it didn’t disappoint! 👌🏼

The evening started at the Dar Essalem rooftop with mocktails and a breathtaking sunset over Marrakech. 🇲🇦 Later, we moved to another room for this authentic dinner and show. Truly an experience to remember! 👀

2025, we’re super excited and ready for you! 🎉

We didn’t achieve all the goals we set at the beginning of 2024, but life has its twists and turns. You just have to learn how to adapt and never lose sight of your goals. This journey is challenging but so rewarding. High risk, high reward.😅

We’re very aware that it’s not always easy, but we remind ourselves: what’s the worst that can happen? 👀 The answer will be different for everyone, but we believe that no matter what, we can overcome any tough situation. Maybe I’m overly optimistic, but I choose to believe in that mindset.😊

So, here’s to 2025: the same goals + even bigger ones. New challenges, new experiences- good and bad- it’s all part of the ride. We’re so ready for you. Let’s go! 💪🏼

Postcards from Nuremberg 🤍

This place truly won our hearts. We were so lucky to be there right for the opening ceremony, which turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. 🥹 The atmosphere was pure magic, with festive lights, delicious food, and the most charming markets. It’s such a beautiful city, and if you have the chance, I highly recommend visiting now for the Christmas holidays! 😍

We had such a wonderful time in Vienna, and staying at the made it even better. 🥹 Being right by the Danube River meant waking up to the most beautiful views every morning and going for a walk to burn off the calories we gained at the most gorgeous breakfast. 😂

Dinner at .viennawaterfront was definitely a highlight. Their “BOUND BY NATURE” philosophy reflects dishes inspired by agricultural heritage, a deep love for the land, and the joy of bringing people together. ☺️ The food was incredible, with flavors that were fresh and comforting. We also joined their Sunday Seafood Brunch, which was next-level delicious. 🦞🍤

Vienna always delivers with good food, great views, and all the best vibes. Already counting down to our next visit. 💛

We just arrived in Nürnberg, and I’m convinced this might be the prettiest place on Earth (especially during the festive season!) 🥹

I don’t even know where to start… Twinkling lights are everywhere, the smell of roasted almonds and mulled wine fills the air, there are cobblestone streets, the sound of carolers singing in the background- and I’m completely in love.😍

Oh, and the best gingerbread I’ve ever tasted- despite thinking I didn’t even like gingerbread. Explain that to me hahah😅

We can’t wait to show you more- the opening ceremony, everything we’ve eaten so far (and trust me, we’ve eaten a lot!), the museums we’ve visited, and all the fun activities we’ve done. So much to share!✨🤭

Honestly, this might just be the prettiest place I’ve ever seen during the holidays, and my heart is so full. Have you ever been here? Or do you have a favorite festive spot? Tell me- I’d love to know! 🎄❤️

Snapshots from a little day trip this week, exploring our beautiful home country! 💕

We visited the source of the Kupa River, and wow- it’s such a gorgeous spot. 😍 But honestly? It was so cold I couldn’t decide if I loved it or wanted to run back to the car!☃️👀

On the bright side, we got to try out our new Navigator travel backpack from tomtoc , and can we just take a moment to appreciate how effortlessly stylish it is? Totally in love with it hehe 🥰

October Recap 👀

What a month, right? October flew by so fast that I’m pretty sure I missed a few days- did it even happen? If you’re feeling the same way, raise your hand! 🙋‍♂️

In our defense, October was jam-packed with activities, adventures, and some pretty epic events. We celebrated Aldin’s birthday, went on road trips, and socialized with friends like we were preparing for a reality show! Honestly, I feel like I need a nap just thinking about it. 😂

November is shaping up to be just as wild, and we’re here for it! 💪🏼

We soaked up the sun and warm weather so much that I finally got to wear my new sandals from 🥹 5th + 6th pic☺️ Fashionable feet hello?

So, here’s October in one word: awesome. Or maybe “exhausting”- I’m still deciding! 😂

Frames from📍 Matera

Matera’s like stepping back in time: ancient stone homes, narrow alleys, and a vibe that’s just timeless. ✨ Can you believe that Sassi caves here are over 9,000 years old? 👀 Once nearly abandoned, now they’re part of a UNESCO site and filled with life again. It’s no wonder this place has been the set for movies and was named a European Capital of Culture.

Matera’s vibe and charm are unmatched, and if there’s one place we’d recommend visiting in southern Italy, it’s this one!☝🏼

Matera is hands down one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited! 🥹 I’ve got a short list of cities that totally blew my mind when I first saw them and those are New York, Bangkok, Hong Kong- and now, tiny but mighty Matera! ❤️

The moment we hit one of the viewpoints, I was like... jaw on the floor, speechless for a solid minute. 🤭 It felt like I was staring at something unreal, straight out of a movie set. If you’re looking to add a place to your European bucket list, this is it! Trust me, it’s a must-see! 👀
