Normal service continues as we continue our build towards the 2024 Induction Ceremony.

We are very driven this year and of course that comes due to the fact that the event this year is sponsored by Acquarius Trust Company Ltd & Gib Oil.

We are very proud to reveal to you all the ninth inductee for the Class of 2024..

Our newest inductee is Andrew Pons! Andrew is still as active and not only that, he has worked behind the scenes over the years in solidifying what the Gibraltar Music Scene became.

And here it is!!

Even though we still have two inductees left to announce, we have still decided to design a poster and to let you all know that tickets are NOW AVAILABLE for the 2024 Induction Ceremony!

Taking place on Friday 28th June at Fire House Café & Restaurant Gibraltar. Doors will open at 20:00 and Ceremony will kick off at 21:00 sharp.

We would like to thank Lawrence Wilson for his assistance and working with us to ensure that we get the best service in town on the night and leading up to it too.

As always we would like to kick off this post by thanking you all for the kind words on Monday's post. It satisfies us to read that the general public are happy with this year's Class and also thank them themselves for their contributions to the Gibraltar Music Scene.

We are very proud to unveil to you all the following bit of news..

Next up we are very proud to announce our latest inductees. We are very proud to honour and welcome Los Revoltosos to the Class of 2024.

DID YOU KNOW?

It might not be common knowledge to some but we are very proud to acknowledge our Honorary President of the Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Joseph Victor. He was bestowed the honour at the 2023 Induction Ceremony.

Joseph aka Pepe has been instrumental in the success of this endeavour. He has helped us endlessly with sourcing material, images and even music of those musicians of yesteryear.

His passion for unearthing local music gems is admirable and that is why we felt he was a first ballot nominee for the Class of 2021.

Thanks for everything Pepe! We owe you the world for all you have helped us with.

Good Evening all,

We trust you have all had a fantastic Easter break. We feel more refreshed and admittedly also raring to go to continue with the announcements of this year's Class.

The next inductee for the Class of 2024 was actually nominated and after a unanimous vote by the Committee we are proud to announce that John Mascarenhas as our newest inductee.

We have a few more inductees left to announce as well as a special announcement that will come Friday AM.

Hi all,

Thanks again for checking back with us. Our post last week has definitely been a morale boost for us all as we work behind the scenes for this year's Induction Ceremony.

As always we welcome nominations for potential inductees and all those nominations are carefully considered and then thoroughly discussed.

With that said, we are very proud to reveal not just one BUT two new inductees for the Class of 2024.

We are very proud to welcome Andrew Zamutt & NADA!

Very long overdue admittedly but we are proud to welcome them in this year's Class.

For now this is goodbye till mid April. Our next post will be a detailed one with the Ceremony's date as well as more information. We have SIX more to name but remember that ANY nominations can be submitted to us via email to [email protected] or you can also contact us on this page.

⚠️ NEW INDUCTEE ⚠️

Greetings all!

How are you all doing?

We are very pleased with the feedback we received upon the announcement of our first inductee for the Class of 2024. It only pushes us more to continue announcing new names for this year's Class which is why we are here..

It gives us great joy to reveal that joining Joe Pallas in this year's Class is a fantastic singer / songwriter in Jamie Chiappe!

Jamie was a staple in the Scene for many years and his tracks are to this day often remembered and treasured.

This time next week we will be naming our third inductee and then from there we will take a break from announcements as we aim to get together and finalise the plans for this year's Ceremony.

Hello all,

We trust you are doing well.

Since the start of the year, we have already been gearing up for the 2024 Induction Ceremony and with that as a Committee we have already shortlisted a few names.

Today we are proud to unveil the first inductee for the Class of 2024.

His voice is definitely synonymous with the glory days of the Music Scene, especially at various Song Festivals.

We are very proud to reveal that Joe Pallas will earn his rightful place in the Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame, Class of 2024!

We hope to finalise another two inductees by next week and you will find out their identities once we are able to confirm.

For now we will go back to the drawing board and plan for this year's event. We are very ambitious about the prestige of this annual event and we aim to protect its legitimacy and integrity for many years to come.

And that's a wrap!

That's the 2023 Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony concluded!

It has been a very emotional evening for us and the inductees tonight. We are so proud of them all and we can't thank them enough for their contributions to the Gibraltar Music Scene.

To our sponsors Situs Construction & Saccone & Speed - Gibraltar Group of Companies it is because of your kind support that we were able to host this year's Ceremony and truthfully we can't thank you enough for the trust and support.

To Lawrence Wilson and Fire House Café & Restaurant Gibraltar for the amazing canapés.

To the Fine Arts Gallery Committee especially Stephen Hermida, Joseph Alecio and Gino Sanguinetti, we thank you for allowing us the opportunity to host the event at the Gallery.

The planning for the 2024 Induction Ceremony is already underway and we already can't wait!!

It doesn't end here for the Class of 2023 as we have three intimate inductions to do.

We aim to start announcing the Class of 2024 in January but like in previous years, we will once again open up for you all the nominate a musician or a band for that Class.

2023 Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony set for November

It is now official. The 2023 Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on
Friday 3rd November at the Fine Arts Gallery in Casemates Square from 19:00 (Doors open
at 18:30).
This year's the Class of 2023 are:

A spokesperson for the Committee said: ‘After the initial cancellation of the event in July, we had to regroup and we had to source and reach out for Sponsorship in order to make the event a reality. It was a mere 24 hours later where we heard back from Situs Construction and after a chat, they agreed to come aboard and to sponsor the event. We would like to thank Vera Nascimento and Jorge Leiria especially.
We would also like to thank the Fine Arts Gallery Committee for being so prompt and efficient throughout.

Hi all,

Been forever since we posted an update but fortunately we are here to make a fantastic one!

Just today after posting a post asking for potential sponsors to come through in order to support our event, one came through and has agreed to sponsor the 2023 Induction Ceremony. We will post more about this next week.

We were shocked beyond words to get that call this afternoon but it means that we will be able to host the Ceremony and give our inductees what they rightfully deserve.

Now..

The real fun begins now as we prepare the event and here is a little secret..

We already have our first inductee for the Class of 2024 but we will be revealing who on the night of the 2023 Ceremony as well as on this page on the night.

More as we get it but for now let it be known the 2023 Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be taking place very soon!

We will post the new date and venue in the next few days but for now that is all we can really say.

FINAL CLASS OF 2023 OF THE GIBRALTAR MUSIC HALL OF FAME REVEALED AS TICKETS GO ON SALE

After months of reveals, the Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame concluded their announcements of this year's Class of 2023 just before the Easter break.

The Committee are very pleased with this year's Class, especially as most inductees have been voted in by the general public for their contributions to the Gibraltar Music Scene. One inductee in the late Morris Bellido received a staggering eight nominations!

Eleven new inductees will be enshrined as a part of the Class of 2023 and they are as follows:

⭐ FINAL INDUCTEES FOR THE CLASS OF 2023 REVEALED! ⭐

Hi all,

As you have seen for the last few months, we have been revealing this year's Class of 2023 slowly and been building up towards announcing the last inductees for already a stellar Class.

Known as a fantastic songwriting duo, especially for Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Class of 2019 inductees JADE, Ronnie Israel and Guy Palmer penned some iconic numbers and together they delivered and even represented Gibraltar abroad. It is for that and for their contributions that they are a shoe in for any Hall of Fame.

Next up we have a musician who is quite a diverse and multi-talented as a whole. He was part of the golden era if you will of local music and is definitely worthy of such an accolade.

Our last inductee for the Class of 2023 is Pepe Palmero!

We are also very proud of this year's Class. All very deserving and all have played their part in shaping the Gibraltar Music Scene.

We will be in more of a position to reveal more about our plans for this year till after Easter but for now, take care and please raise your glass and give a huge round of applause for the Class of 2023.

⚠️ NEW INDUCTEES ⚠️

Hi all,

Happy Monday!

Well at least we hope it was a happy one. It certainly was for our newest inductees for the Class of 2023.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the following will be enshrined in the Class of 2023.

The following two were nominated and we couldn't agree more with them.

Andrea Simpson - No doubt a vocal powerhouse and a prominent fixture of the Gibraltar Music Scene. She carries music in her DNA and no doubt has had a storied career.

Nathan Payas - Another vocal powerhouse and be it opera, a bolero or just being a fantastic person, Nathan definitely carries his own weight when it comes to his performances and after someone's nomination, we couldn't agree more.

Andy & John Hunter - Both gentleman are synonymous when it comes to music on the Rock and no doubt have endlessly supported local music for over thirty years throughout all their establishments.

The Class of 2023 is still not complete and we hope to reveal the rest of the Class by the end of this week and then next week we will reveal more information on the Ceremony itself.
