Claimed as one of the original makers of La Paz Batchoy, Netong’s serves as a pride of Iloilo where batchoy still taste as authentic as before. The Batchoy mixture was originally concocted in 1930s with a mixture of broth, noodles, beef, and pork following its name, Batchoy which means “pieces of meat” in Chinese. Eventually, the soup evolved into its present form which is being enjoyed both by the locals and tourists in the area.

The authentic Batchoy uses fresh egg noodles called miki (round noodles) with a delicious pork broth boiled for long hours, pork meat and innards, beef loin, shrimp stock, and garnished with crushed pork cracklings or chicharon and toasted garlic. Every sip of the hot, sweet salty taste of this soup will excite your palate and bring you comfort right in the heart of the Philippines. The serving of La Paz Batchoy varies from special, super special, and extra special. The difference between these is simply the bowl size. Netong’s also offer Miswa Batchoy, Bihon Batchoy, and Sotanghon Batchoy with the difference only in the noodles that are going to be used in the soup.
