How fortunate we are to live so close to the greatest city in the world! How lucky we are to have such renowned theater, music, and dance, not to mention some of the most famous museums in the world, just a quick car or train ride away in NYC. Yet, it doesn't end there. Right here in Westchester County we have regional theaters, concert halls, and museums to be proud of as well.
This group serves to connect those with similar interests in the arts so we can make friends and share our interests and experiences. Feel free to let others know about new events and openings, give recommendations and reviews, share resources and advice, ask and answer questions, or just start a discussion that interests you. As long as it has to do with theater, music, dance, or art it is allowed!

What a year it’s been. Competitions and recital are over and Ellie’s time at is almost finished. She entered BGDC in 9th grade when her former studio closed and didn’t reopen in-person. In four years she blossomed into an entirely new dancer and individual. People that she met early on in 2nd grade .perlman and in 5th grade at other studios greeted her with open arms and promised that Ellie would thrive at BGDC. In her four years she made it on pointe and onto a dance team where she made great friends and even better memories. Thank you to for giving her these opportunities that she didn’t think she was ready for. In the fall she will dance “in some capacity” at and will have the BGDC family to thank for helping her get there. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

It’s a good thing that the White Plains Holiday Market is on for two weeks this year! Stopped by last night to shop with Stacey @excessorizesw and at @roadie.couture quickly before going home to serve dinner courtesy of @paxromana_ny. Meatballs are 4 for $12, pasta is $7 for the pound and sauces are $8. So fresh and basically just needed a reheat. I need to get back there this week to see @yessirr_camp for kid stuff and @nycreatorscorner gals. @ilyses_pieces too! What is everyone loving??? I saw on Bad Moms of Westchester that there’s Auntie Anne’s pretzels 🥨 too… 20% off if you mention Bad Moms.
This year; more than ever, I’m shopping local. After a year of everything being done online, contactless, paperless, curbside and all of those words that we now associate with COVID life and quarantine….I’m going back to in person to help the businesses that struggled so much as they try to recover. Stephanie’s Kloset in Larchmont was one I visited today. She’s in business 11 years this week and I feel like I’ve grown up as a mom going to her store! Follow @stephkloset and visit her Sun 12-4 and this week from 12-4 as well. Why those hours? Why such a small window? She had a medical emergency (not COVID) and had to close unexpectedly. During the winter holidays; affecting her business at the start of Hanukkah. I’m doing a second post with more pics. These are some pop toys.
Love a town with a dog park. It’s called the Bark Park. I don’t own a dog but I love seeing owners and their dogs socializing. Nothing makes dinner better than reheating fresh food for 10 minutes at 350! Lucky to have discovered @taylored_menus in Pleasantville a few weeks ago. A nice break from the weekly dinner routine (and cooking) for my family. Each week there are new items. My last visit; I brought home soup, spring rolls, potato skins and short rib bites. Tonight, a baby kale salad, chicken quesadillas, pumpkin tacos and roasted brussel sprouts. Cheers to no cooking tonight!

Shawna and Erin are polar opposites in many ways. Shawna is a FT working mom and Erin is a stay at home mom. Shawna eats in restaurants most nights and Erin food shops and cooks for the family. Shawna is from the West Coast, married to Frank, who is from Germany. Erin is a Westchester native, married to James, born and bred in NYC.
