The Warren County Hot Air Balloon festival was held this past weekend after being cancelled in July because of the weather. This time the weather couldn't be more perfect when they launched just after 5:00 pm. A blue and windless sky welcomed the colorful balloons that had fearless flyers. some on a tethered balloon and some adventure loving riders taking off into the sun. I wasn't there for the return. But I haven't heard of any missing persons, so I guess it turned out well.

BEC Executive Director Kaitlin Eamigh had the honor of presenting two $1,000 BEC Scholarship Awards last month to very deserving students who have exemplified service to the community. This year’s recipients, Laura Topolski and Elaina Shramko, wrote essays reflecting on the importance of community service and what contributions they have personally made to enhance the Blairstown community that blew our essay review committee away.
Congratulations & best wishes to the entire NWRHS Graduating Class of 2023! The future is bright! ✨
