As per her surgeon, the results of her CT scan and MRI are all good. Thea's left and right 𝘾𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙖 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 🫶🏻
Ibig sabihin po nito, maayos ang pagkakabitan ng cochlear device. Thank you, Lord! 🙏🏻😇

We are praying to push through her operation this January at Philippine General Hospital!🦻🏼🦻🏼

With this, we humbly ask for your support to give her the gift of hearing so she can live a happy and normal life. Through our prayers, we can do this! 🙏🏻

~ to evaluate the anatomy of the intracranial auditory pathway

6:00am (start of sedation & mri)
4:30am (call time)
3:00am (travel time from Parañaque to TMC)

Ilang araw na namin pinaghahandaan 'to kasi we we're told ang mahal ng sedation. Kausap namin lagi ang radiology department ng tmc and officer ng hmo ni thea, and told us na hindi lahat ico-cover lalo na hindi kasama ang doctor's fee sa coverage ng card. Alam na namin na malaki laki ang babayaran..but..Truly God provides 😇

Ang laki ng bill pero kinover lahat ng hmo. Nakulitan ata samin 😅 Thank you sa work ni Daddy, kung walang hmo - paano na 🥹 Thank you, Lord ~ hindi kami mawawalan this month! Alam mong tama ang ginagawa namin para kay Thea dahil hindi mo kami laging pinapabayaan. 🩷

There are two tests conducted a month after wearing hearing aids: the aided test and the unaided test. To check lang kung correlated yung result nito sa ABR and ASSR test niya. Unlike sa ABR and ASSR na tulog siya, this time gising and participative dapat siya.

Ano yung naririnig niya with HA? LOUD NOISES. Lahat ng malalakas na tunog - yung binging bingi na tayo sa tunog 'yun lang 'yung naririnig niya.

We knew by then na once maumpisahan namin magpa-consult, magtutuloy tuloy na talaga 🙂

Ito 'yung araw ng 𝘈𝘉𝘙 (𝘈𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦) and 𝘈𝘚𝘚𝘙 (𝘈𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺-𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦) tests niya. We've done this before she turned 1yr old. Dun namin nalaman na hindi talaga siya nakakarinig. Needed to repeat it lang daw yung tests para ma-update ngayon.

Pinatulog muna siya ng Daddy niya because the procedure must be done while she's asleep.

Sticker electrodes yung nakakabit sa noo at likod ng ears niya then may naka-insert na maliit na earphone sa loob ng ear niya. Nade-detect at name-measure ng electrodes yung brain's electrical activity niya in response dun sa sounds that they play or put in.

Last year, may dalawa kaming priorities:

🌱 Naka-focus kami sa goal namin for Thea to gain weight
🌱 And wedding (prep)

Lagi kaming natatanong kung kelan namin papatingin ulit at ipapaayos ang hearing ni Thea. Naiisip naman namin 'to but hindi namin alam kung kelan talaga.

We were told na mahal ang gagawing procedures para makarinig si Thea. So sabe namin, one step at a time lang muna tayo. Kung ano lang muna kaya sa mga plans natin.

Month of Feb 2024, our friend — Ate Roch invited us to a Free Hearing Screening at Communicare MOA (therapy center where she used to work).
Sabe namin, sige wala naman mawawala subukan lang natin. We signed up and went there last March 3, 2024.

Diyan namin nakilala mga audiologist na nag-evalulate kay Thea. And also, nakilala namin supplier na nagpro-provide ng mga hearing devices dito sa Pinas.

Salamat Ate Roch. Dito talaga nagsimula ang lahat 🩷

𝑻𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝑻 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏
(to evaluate the anatomy of the inner ear for the presence of any bony abnormalities)

We went to The Medical City Ortigas yesterday for MRI and CT Scan — one of the requirements for Cochlear Implant Preparation. May request naman na kami from her Surgeon. Kala namin madali lang, unfortunately CT scan lang ang nagawa. Complicated pala ang process nitong MRI, kailangan daw i-sedate si Thea dahil bawal ang gumalaw galaw dahil matagal ang procedure at para mas clear ang imaging na makuha. For now, balik muna kami sa Dr niya and ask for other instructions before the next MRI sched and hopefully okay sakanya ang result ng CT scan para 'di na ulitin. 🦻🏻
