A REPRESENTATIVE HOPEFUL OF ELECTORAL DISTRICT 2, GRAND BASSA COUNTY SAYS, HE HASN'T COME ON THE POLITICAL FIELD TO FIGHT HON. MARY KARWOR AS CLAIMED BY MANY CRITICS , BUT TO CONTEST PER CONSTITUTIONAL MANDATE.

BUCHANAN - GRAND BASSA COUNTY (July 14, 2023 ), A Representative hopeful of Electoral District 2, Grand Bassa County Hon. Lawrence Gbarkan says he hasn't Come on the Political Field to fight Hon. Mary Karwor as Claimed by many critics , but to contest per Constitutional mandate.

Speaking to a team of Journalists at his Flower Mill resident, Hon. Gbarkan explained that the 1986 Constitution makes all Elected Position Vacan after the Six(6) or Nine(9) years Mandate given to them through the Power of the People.

Hon. Gbarkan Continue by saying, it is in no way I will fight Hon. Mary Karwor after the time or the Mandate of the Constitution has Capture with her

The Representative Seat of Electoral District 2 needs a new breed with new ideas, for the capacity building of Young People, for equal participation of Citizens, for inclusive decision Making, for the improvement of Health Sector, and a better road connectivity.

Hon. Lawrence Gbarkan Mentioned that he been working with the People of the District Since the Civil War by making district 2 the bread basket for Margibi, Montserrado and Grand Bassa Counties.

He also help to improve the Health Sector in the District by even serving as OIC for a Clinic for so many years, he Contributed to Road connectivity, he has offered lot of Scholarship, and still doing these things because of the sake of Love and Care.

Hon. Lawrence Gbarkan appreciates Hon. Mary Karwor for the level of Job she has done so far in the District for the past twelve (12)Years , but prayed that she give chance to him for new ideas.

When quiz about his Political fear in the District, he said, he fear no one Politician in the District, as far as he's concern he is the next Lawmaker because he believes in the decision making Power of his People.

Hon. Lawrence Gbarkan is the present Bishop of the Macedonia Church who noted that without God there will be no Government, so he will give God the Chance to work on his behalf.

( Early this morning (Sunday, February 26) at about 5:00AM, I received information about plans to attack my vehicle along the Bassa highway and was advised to not travel after 6pm on any highway.

While processing the information and having consultations, we followed a Facebook post from a "Mac Jabateh", concerning a security threat on my life. Not taking anything lightly , especially with the most recent situation with the former Chief Justice, we immediately informed the Minister of Justice, and he promised to give the allegations "due attention".

Immediately thereafter, we got a call from the Deputy Police Director (Unit 101) and the Police IG respectively.

Few minutes ago, the Police IG personally deployed an armed Police Officer at my residence in the interim.

We wish to thank the Justice Minister for the prompt, immediate "due attention", and hereby inform all those concerned, that we are now being protected by the security of the state.

We look forward to ensuring that the attacks on the former Chief Justice that led to the death of her daughter is investigated and actions taken by the government. We will not relent seeking justice for all.)

Mr. Sumo Golalimta, principal of Frank Diggs Public school, in Electoral district #4, Grand Bassa County, identified issues that have the propensity of undermining the smooth learning condition of the Students.

On the 12th of July 2021, the Principal outlined that the School, lacks of more qualified instructors, and also unable to give stipend to volunteers teachers in the School.

According to him, the Frank Diggs Public school is a Junior high School with eleven (11) teachers, four ( 4 ) are on Government payroll, and seven ( 7 ) are volunteers.

The Principal mentioned that, the School started operating in a narrow Building, but came to a larger modern Building through the effort of Senator Jonathan L. Kaipay,and it was turned over to the Community, in 2016.

Mr. Golalimta said, the Volunteers teachers go to work any time they which, because of the lack of compensation regular every month.

He told the media that, the School is a Government own institution, but failed to support, besides Hon. Vicent T. S Willie , Senator Jonathan Kaipay, NGOs, and Companies.
