Yes gang 🙌 a few words from our founder Alex... this is very important to us so we’d love to hear your feedback 💜

Since lockdown we have had a lot of people reach out about mental health issues they are struggling with and what they can do to cope. It’s dark times for many people, that’s why it was so important for us to not only keep the regular streams going but to step up the game and give people what they want. This has been a positive journey for us as a team so I wanted to share my own experience.

I have many many mental health issues ranging from ADHD to depression, I have to work a program daily to keep on the right path. I’m in the best place I’ve been since I can remember due to in part to our music projects and of course to the support from my amazing family, from a few months back being in a dire state of mental health to now being the most productive and happy I’ve been 🙂 It’s for these reasons I wanted to put out this post to help raise awareness of music, creativity and its power to provide relief from the ongoing restrictions and the mental health issues associated with them.

Over the last few weeks I keep seeing posts and comments about how Run Tingz TV has been helping light up the dark times for the drum n bass community, the artists that come to play for us and our ever growing fanbase.

There has been so much love and gratitude via our socials and it honestly humbles us. When you run a TV Channel life is supposed to be about stats, engagement and revenue. But for us putting smiles on peoples faces is bigger than it all. It’s why I first started promoting 20 years ago and is why our crew and our artists across the board do what we do. I think it’s even more important in Lockdown that we don’t make money, instead we make waves 🌊 . It’s why people like us have taken the bull by the horns with zero support from the government. But for many in our industry, artists, promoters, sound engineers, visual technicians, build crews, everyone… it makes us angry. Why are we not supported? And more importantly how do we fix this? We’re currently self funded, and we use this to support up and comers through our platform in the hope it will inspire new music and new creatives to push the boundaries of content creation.

We want to hear what you guys think about whats happening with mental health at its all time high (Especially in 16 - 25 year olds) and with the creative arts sector crumbling, how important is it for us and others to keep creating content at any length and any cost?

How important is music to you and how has it been having that take away from you?

To give us a better understanding of how we can help please feel free to drop your experiences in the thread. We can see we’re making a difference and we want to know how we can do more.

To anyone suffering with any of the issues above we recommend you reach out to professionals. Even though their services are stretched there’s so many great people out there that will help, if you don’t feel comfortable doing so with someone you don’t know speak to friend and family. I personally have lost more friends to su***de than I’d want to count, if I could have talked people out of it then we would have a lot more legends in the scene. It would be tragic to lose any more.
