PHM School Board member Matt Chaffee went on a crazed rant at the board meeting tonight. He said a lot of nonsense. However, it all comes down to him making a fuss because, just last week, he justifiably lost custody of his child. He’s trying to blame everyone but himself. Here’s the Appeals Court opinion affirming the local court’s decision stripping him of custody.

I’ll post the video of him blaming everyone else for this during tonight’s board meeting in the comments.

Chaffee has only himself to blame. He has habitually paid women for s*x, habitually abused alcohol and drugs, has habitually abused and stalked women and is currently being investigated for his involvement in a criminal gambling operation.

UPDATE: The GOP 2nd District voted to censure SJC Councilman Dan Schaetzle. They did it in secret. They will not release the vote. They will not release the recording of the hearing. Sources tell me Rudy for Indiana was behind the push — using his surrogates to threaten to fund primaries and push leaders out of their positions if they did not go forward with the censure.

This has opened Pandora’s Box. Complaints are more than likely coming against SJC Councilman Anthony “Andy” Rutten for supporting the Democrat Assessor candidate, Amy Drake and Ashley Leader for supporting the Libertarian candidate against Commissioner Tony Hazen, Dave Wood for supporting the Dem Clerk candidate, Jamie Obrien for outwardly criticizing multiple sitting Republicans — the list goes on.

The St. Joseph County GOP is using their weakest member to attempt to kick St. Joseph County Councilman Dan Schaetzle out of the party. The reason? Well — the GOP Vice Chair, Joe Layne, cannot currently be part of the party because of the battery charges he’s facing after he assaulted Schaetzle at a meeting in November. A judge has issued a no-contact order against Layne. If Schaetzle is in the party, Layne cannot be.

In an email obtained by RNM Layne stated that he was brought on to “deal with bad actors” within the GOP while also stating GOP County Councilman Dan Schaetzle was his “last key problem.” He’s currently facing criminal battery charges for physically assaulting Schaetzle at a party meeting.
