Check out episode 102 of the Coyote Fitness Podcast to learn more about five areas of your life that can help improve your fitness.
1) Training - What you do and How you do it. What is going to give you the most bang for your buck in the shortest amount of time? Training functional movements with the intended stimulus by choosing the right weight and skill for you is a great place to start.
2) Diet - Knowing the Quality and Quantity of the food you are eating.
3) Recovery - You can only make progress from the work you are able to recover from. This means getting 8+ hours of sleep, doing extra mobility work, getting massages, sitting in a sauna, etc. If you aren't recovering well, you probably have more aches and pains and feel run down in workouts.
4) Habits - You first must become aware of your habits, and then become diligent about creating the habits that will get you where you want to be. You either have intentional habits that are leading you towards your goals or you have unintentional habits that are sabotaging your goals.
5) Mindset - Without the right mindset, none of the other stuff will fall into place. Do you have a fixed mindset and believe that nothing is really going to change no matter how much you work at it? Or do you believe that you can put in the work and get to where you want to be?
