Check out episode 103 for part 2 of our series on improving your overall fitness! This episode we dive into the aspects of training as it pertains to our members inside all Coyote Fitness locations.

A couple takeaways from this week:
1) Programming needs to be constantly varied in order to keep your body adapting
2) Movements need to be functional movements that allow you to perform better in daily activities
3) Workouts should be done at a high intensity relative to you
4) Know the Intended stimulus of the workout and do your best to tailor your workout in order to achieve that goal for the day
5) Work out more days each week than you are resting

Check out episode 102 of the Coyote Fitness Podcast to learn more about five areas of your life that can help improve your fitness.

1) Training - What you do and How you do it. What is going to give you the most bang for your buck in the shortest amount of time? Training functional movements with the intended stimulus by choosing the right weight and skill for you is a great place to start.

2) Diet - Knowing the Quality and Quantity of the food you are eating.

3) Recovery - You can only make progress from the work you are able to recover from. This means getting 8+ hours of sleep, doing extra mobility work, getting massages, sitting in a sauna, etc. If you aren't recovering well, you probably have more aches and pains and feel run down in workouts.

4) Habits - You first must become aware of your habits, and then become diligent about creating the habits that will get you where you want to be. You either have intentional habits that are leading you towards your goals or you have unintentional habits that are sabotaging your goals.

5) Mindset - Without the right mindset, none of the other stuff will fall into place. Do you have a fixed mindset and believe that nothing is really going to change no matter how much you work at it? Or do you believe that you can put in the work and get to where you want to be?

Throwback to podcast episode 60 which is filled with lots of information about how we run our organization at Coyote Fitness.
We have created 3 tracks within our group programming to appeal to all fitness levels. We have a fitness track for individuals interested in working out to be healthy and live a healthy life. We have a performance track that is aimed at looking to improve their physical fitness for sport or performance. Lastly, we have a competition track for our members that would like to compete in the sport of fitness. This style allows all of our members, no matter their skill level, workout alongside each other, fostering a community and culture within the gym.

We have been growing and with that has come a few changes to our social media accounts!

We will begin operating through one main page (Coyote Fitness on Facebook, on Instagram). All information, updates, pictures, etc will be posted here. We will continue to use our location pages for location specific updates and videos of classes.
In order to have all of our accounts listed as Coyote Fitness, we are deleting the old “CrossFit 27:17” and “Three Lions CrossFit” pages as of October 1.

As we take over Kudzu CrossFit next week, we have already created a page with the new name for our Gluckstadt location on both Facebook and Instagram!

Make sure to follow along with your Coyote Fitness location for all the updates that will be specific to you! We also have a Coyote Nutrition and Coyote Fitness Podcast page to follow!

Additionally, you can subscribe to our Coyote Fitness YouTube Channel to be the first to see our weekly videos!

Have you pushed hard through a short-term nutrition challenge or tough training cycle and found yourself at the end taking time off or "treating" yourself for all this work over a few weeks time? And then after some time off, you've gained some weight back or lost some of the strength you worked so hard to build. All that work and you're back to square one needing another challenge to kick start your progress and get back to where you were at the end of the last one.
