Even as she faced a recall a few days ago, she STILL had to dig in her heels and throw some shade at Asians! The line “We can’t stop Asian Hate until Black Lives Matter” How does that even fit in with your post? It doesn’t. Had someone posted this line in reverse how would you feel? We are all in this together and instead of constantly stepping on one race to promote another, you could have just said you want schools to be everything and equitable etc to all children-which they should. We all agree every child deserves every resource they need. You just HAD to double down and instead of calling out Asians specifically you could’ve just been more neutral. One does NOT BEGET the other. YOU want to be the example to children? YOU are the reason YOU are being recalled! YOU still don’t get it! You don’t teach children that one person or race is less than anyone. You don’t teach any child any race is better than another. If that’s not your intent, you should rephrase your meaning. You are ACTIVELY telling kids they don’t matter if they are one race or another or that one race is better than another when we are all equal! I hope SF was defeaning in letting you know by over 100,000 votes that they DO NOT approve of you and want you and your racist ways out and away from harming any other children! And TAKE OFF THE CHINESE CHARACTERS AFTER YOUR NAME-you KNOW YOU ONLY PUT THEM THERE TO APPEAL TO CHINESE /ASIAN VOTERS!

This is what 53 looks like! Thank you to all the folks who reached out and wished me a happy birthday yesterday. This has definitely been a year.
I’m thankful for all the friends, families and supporters who are speaking truth to power, asking tough questions and spending their time and money uplifting children, families, and educators who are struggling right now. No matter how upside down it gets, I still meet folks every day who see through the hype and manipulation and are taking action to stand up for racial and 2SLQBTQIA+ justice, BIPOC communities, and low-income immigrant families.
No matter what happens next week, or next year for that matter, we are stronger together. We won’t let them divide us. We can’t if don’t matter. and . All children and families deserve to feel valued and visible. We must continue to fight for quality schools for each and every child; those that are closest to the work, must be the architects of the solutions.
No matter what happens, we will continue to fight for the children and families most in need, for our vision of a multiracial democracy, and for our public education system.
