This little lady is so adorable. If you're in the HTown area, she's available for adoption.

Hard to think in a city of 2+ million people, we can’t find ONE person to adopt Poppy. Poppy is ready for a forever home but she has had no applications or adoption interest at all.

She’s a Lab/Shepherd mix, about 3.5 months old, people & dog friendly but she can play a little rough. Her ideal home has another playful dog or two! She is currently 14.5 lbs and is expected to be large when fully grown.

Poppy was initially found on the streets all by herself when she was just a couple weeks old. She was covered in wounds & maggots but has fully recovered and has no health issues. She tends to circle a lot, whether in her carrier or in a puppy pen, but we think it’s out of boredom. She really needs a forever home!

The less dogs we’re able to get adopted means the less dogs we can help/intake. Please help us find this sweet girl a family! She’s located in Houston, TX and cannot travel out of state at this time but surrounding cities are okay (Austin, DFW, San Antonio, etc.,) 💕

This memorial day, let's remember the fallen canine heroes as well as their human counterparts.

They saw you watching over them
As they finally closed their eyes
They smelt your scent as they breathed
In and out for the last time
They heard the way your voice broke
As you told them they were loved
They felt you as you held them
With your gentle, farewell touch
And now they watch each morning
As you pass their empty bed
They watch you lose composure
And they see the tears you shed
They hear you bear the silence
Of the footsteps that are gone
That walk across your heart each day
Like echoes of a song
They feel the pang of emptiness
You get when you’re alone
In moments when you realise
That they’re never coming home
But in their darkest moment
You were there to hold them tight

Weaving ribbons through the sky
