Yacht Life! Installing the Genoa Sail on our Catamaran Home ⛵
In order to get our sailboat home ready to explore the Caribbean Sea it was time to reinstall the genoa sail! Nicknamed "the dummy sail" on our boat, it's the easiest of our sails to use, able to be operated by one person back in the helm of our Leopard 45 catamaran, and used in a wide range of wind conditions. It also turned out to be the easiest to install, with the mainsail and Code 0 taking us a little longer...

🍻 Liming with Curried Goat in Trinidad! 🇹🇹
In the almost 2 years we've spent in Trinidad repairing our boat in the shipyard and on anchor we've made some amazing friends. Before we left, we wanted to catch up with two of them for one last lime. Both incredible cooks we had curried goat for dinner then after a swim the next morning to recover from the late night, tucked into some tasty curried duck. Can't wait to see them again, on this island or another!

Exploring Trinidad Underwater! 🐠
Living in a Trinidadian shipyard while our sailing catamaran was repaired we spent as much time as we could exploring Trinidad's natural environment, spending time DDI, climbing waterfalls and hiking the jungle. Now that we're back in the water we've had the chance to explore Trinidad under the sea, and it was a wonderful surprise to see just how much life we found!

Our sailing home was revealed as the staff at PowerBoats in Trinidad removed the "shame tent" that has been covering it for more the 500 days! It was another step forward in our Leopard Catamaran warranty experience, leaving the roof exposed so that the mast can now be refit.

I grew up wakeboarding and absolutely love it, behind a boat and at the cable park. The last time I did any wakeboarding at all was in Croatia in 2022, so safe to say it's been a while! Recently I got a chance to wakeboard again thanks to @HQ2Charters whose tender is powerful enough to have a good time out on the water. Thanks to the kindness of the crew we have more adventures planned, which I can't wait to share with you soon!

Sailing with local friends in Trinidad!
Living in a Trinidad shipyard for over a year many of the friends we've made either work in the area or are into boating or sailing. One Trini friend was heading out for a lime DDI (Down De Islands) and kindly invited us to come along - our final destination was my favourite getaway, Chacachacare! With our catamaran having been stuck on land for over 14 months undergoing warranty repairs it felt so good to get out on the water, put a sail up and go where the wind takes us!

Trying Trinidadian food at Queen's Park Savannah! 🇹🇹
We've been in Trinidad a while but hadn't tried a huge selection of local food so when a Trini friend invited us to go to the Queen's Park Savannah Food Strip in Port of Spain of course we said yes! It was a fun way to try a huge selection of dishes, including Goat Geera, Chicken Roti, Pig Tails and Pie. I couldn't believe we hadn't heard of it before but as a visitor it made for a good night out 😊
