Before I made the transition into social media, I was a Wellness Coach for about 4 years. I sat with clients every day coaching them on how to fuel their body so they could feel better and see the results they were wanting.
It was great and I loved helping them reach their goals, but it didnโt happen for everyone, and you wanna know why? They made ๐ฒ๐
๐ฐ๐๐๐ฒ๐.
Excuses were one of my least favorite things to hear coming from the other side of the desk because if there is one thing we are in control of in life, itโs what we put into our bodies (๐ข๐ต ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ข๐ด๐ต ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ด๐ต ๐ด๐ช๐ต๐ถ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด).
We all make excuses and they seem to rear their ugly heads in situations that make us uncomfortable or when we are afraid of failing at something. And they show up in every aspect of our lifeโฆincluding our businesses (๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ช๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฆ, ๐ ๐ฌ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ธ!).
However, if we donโt start throwing away our excuses and instead commit to taking action on the things that are going to help us achieve our goals, then guess what? We may never reach them!
The thing I used to tell my clients as a Wellness Coach was โyou can have results or excuses, not bothโ. It may have sounded a bit harsh but itโs true.
And so is this quote๐.
We can say โone day Iโll _____โ OR we can start today with one little baby step toward that ultimate goal or dream.
So whatโs it gonna be? One day or day one?
