If you’ve made your way up to the top of the mountain of Monserrate, then you might as well stroll through the market here! Take a leisurely walk through the souvenir stalls and enjoy the views from either end of this market, which is aimed primarily at visitors to the area. It’s also a good place to enjoy a local snack before heading back down the mountain!

📍Plaza Bolivar, Bogota

The best photo location in Bogota is, undoubtedly, Plaza Bolivar. It’s better to come in the morning, as the square is not so busy and there are only sellers and thousands of pigeons around. It took me a while to get this photo, as I had to wait for the pigeons fly, but it was totally worth it.

One of unique photos you need to take in Cartagena, Colombia is with the actual palenqueras.

These women with their colorful dresses get their name from the town of San Basilo de Palenque, commonly just referred to as Palenque. This town was founded by runaway slaves before eventually being granted legal status by the Spanish.

The town today still maintains many traditional African customs and is a cultural center. The origin of Cartagena’s Palenqueras is women who came from Palenque to sell fruit in the city.

They became known for their colorful dresses and have become a symbol of all of Cartagena. I think many of them do as good a business posing for photos as selling fruits. Do know that they will expect a tip if you take of a photo of or with them.

It is a great and symbolic photo of Cartagena, and it is definitely one of the best Cartagena Instagram photos!

Sabzi Polo ba Mahi is a classic Persian dish which translates to “herb rice with fish”. Iranians around the world don’t only prepare this delicious on Shab-e Norouz, the night before Norouz. Norouz (the Persian New Year at the beginning of spring), but any day from autumn through spring.

Upper Antelope Canyon is considered the photogenic section and is a great place to capture photographs of sunbeams cutting through the canyon.

✨Best Time for Photos
The best time for taking photos at this Arizona Instagram spot is during the middle of the day when the sun is overhead and able to shine directly down through the slot canyon. This will give you the opportunity to capture some amazing photos of the sunbeams as they cut through the canyon.

Kalam Polo- Persian Cabbage Rice

Kalam Polo is a flavourful Persian rice dish with cabbage and ground meat. The rice is steamed together with the cabbage, onions, garlic, meat and spices so that it soaks up all the goodness.

I used beef in this recipe but you could also use lamb, a mix of beef and lamb, or a vegan ground meat alternative. You can also leave the meat out completely and it will still taste phenomenal!

If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend you do. I’m sure you’ll love it!
