I think its time I start taking a break from apex. 😔

As much as I love the game and streaming it I find myself bored because there is zero progression in the game. Every win basically feels empty to me.

So we're going back to what the page started on, progression based games like RPG's, MMO, simulation/builders, and single player games. 😁

Thank you for everyone that has come to the streams during apex. I won't stop playing it completely but it will be a game I stream as often as I have.

Was going to stream today... but

I couldn't get any game audio to come through.

Restarted both computers, uninstalled software numerous times, spent hours reading forums, etc.

I had it muted the whole time by accident 🤣

Patch 1.77 was definitely needed for Season 10.

The prowler was just too OVERPOWERED.

The nerf to the L-Star doesn't really make sense to me, what are your thoughts on this patch and season 10 overall?

I decided to go back and try out youtube as a streaming platform.

I started creating content on youtube over a decade ago and I had streamed there a few times years and years ago before streaming was really a "mainstream" thing.

So I figured why not give it a shot following the 80/20 rule. Do what works 80% of the time and try something do 20% of the time. I set out to stream on youtube for an entire month but after just a week I saw some things I consider to be HUGE issues for a platform that wants to bring over streamers.

1. Alerts
Alerts are basically non existent unless someone is superchatting, becoming a member (like subbing on twitch) or donating. All of these require money and I feel creates a huge barrier for streamers on youtube. There are 3 ways to support a streamer on youtube for free, liking the video, subscribing to the channel, and hanging out in chat. The problem with this is there are no alerts for someone liking a video... it's not even an option and subscribing gives an alert but it works maybe 20% of the time and when it does work it can be delayed anywhere from 4 to 24 hours. A majority of the time I don't know anyone has subbed unless I go and look myself but that still doesn't tell me WHO subbed so I can't thank them for supporting the stream.

2. Custom Thumbnails.
Once you upload a custom thumbnail to your livestream there is no going back. There is no option to remove it and let the stream auto populate a thumbnail from what's going on in the stream. That thumbnail will stay there until you create another one, so on and so forth. So for example if you played Apex the day before and now you'd like to play sea of thieves and you didn't have time create another thumbnail you'll be stuck with that apex thumbnail on your sea of thieves stream until its over. The only way to get around this is by scheduling a stream but by doing this you screw with the chances of your regular viewers and subscribers getting a notification of when you go live.

3. Analytics
Youtube has some of the best analytics I've seen on any content based platform but they still haven't figured out a way to figure out the stats between LIVE STREAMS and VOD style content. So if your stream does well but your vod doesn't well now your stream gets recommended to less and less people. The case the same if your vod does well but your live stream doesn't. This has led people to create multiple channels to get around this issue. This is something I wouldn't want to do as I'd like to keep my brand all in one place. The harder it is for someone to find your content or keep up with you the bigger the chances are they aren't going to show up to a live stream or watch your videos. That's just the world we will in.

Overall I think youtube COULD be a heavy hitter in the streaming world and plenty of people are doing great on the platform right now but with how I like to stream and upload content it just doesn't fit very well with me.

So I'm planting my flag with FACEBOOK GAMING and uploading my streams and clips to youtube/tiktok to push people over to my facebook.
