📍 Dam & road update:
Seqwater announced that Colleges Crossing would be closed.
🔊 Seqwater said small amounts of water would continue to be released from Wivenhoe Dam – which has been happening for almost one week now.
“The releases combined with runoff from downstream catchment flows, will result in the temporary closure of Colleges Crossing.”
“Twin Bridges & Savages Crossing remain closed until further notice.
“If you are downstream of the dam, stay away from fast flowing or deep water near waterways & floodplains.”
⚠️ The Ipswich City Council's Disaster Dashboard warned residents' should avoid the area.

With the wet & fire season coming up we have reactivated the page and are now looking for volunteers to be apart of our group.
This would be a private group where people can offer assistance during floods/fires.
Whether this be:
- Accommodation
- Feeding
- Donation Items
- Equipment
- Transport
The big thing we need is people with well equipped 4WD's and boats/kayaks that are willing to put them to use 😊
With all this rain coming in we're likely for an absolute drenching. Be mindful of flash flooding and get prepared in advance. Secure/move vehicles & possessions. Bring animals inside or secure. And remember, IF ITS FLOODED FORGET IT!
Your car and/or your life is not worth it. If you drive through flood water your insurance is void. So remember that when you think you can make it and go to try that if you don't, you are up for a whole new car at your cost.
This rain event, we won't be out stopping people or rescuing people. However, if you do need help moving animals or elderly, let us know 👌😊

You can exit through Harcourt Road/Argyle Parade and come through Archerfield road for Forestlake and surrounds 😁💙
