It is so sad what we put each other through as humans. Many cheer from thousands of miles away from the comfort of their homes for the war to go on. Arms dealers triple their worth overnight while Russians and Ukrainians pay a heavy and inconsolable price of losing their sons, daughters and loved ones in battle.
Media narratives perpetuates further escalation so the war may never end. Those that own the means of information disinform and use their influence to spread propaganda at the cost of skulls of little ones being blown apart in explosions! Soldiers and civilians alike are buried under rubbles unrecognizable from bombs that tear off their limbs and dismember their bodies. Yet all the while politicians talk of sending more weapons to the frontlines so many more nameless expendables may perish faceless! It's a shame!
Thank God for the lives that were spared in this recent encounter when Russian fighters captured Ukrainain servicemen in Popasnaya. I hope for more humane exchanges but first prize would be an end to this senseless and unnecessary blood shedding that sacrifices the lives of many just to benefit a select few.
Imagine if the billions of dollars pledged towards arming Ukraine were used to feed the poor around the world. Imagine if more effort and emphasis were placed on encouraging the peace talks and promote de-escalation.
Experience is an expensive school to have to learn from, but a fool will learn from no other! We are fools to hurt each other like this! To think that Ukrainians and Russians are very much the same people with similar cultures and language! To think that North and South Korea are the very same people. To think that Chinese and Taiwanese are one and the same people.
