Artist Spotlight: Et Al

A familiar face to all who love a good old two-step from Glasgow to Aberdeen, is a mainstay of Scotland’s dance music scene, frequenting lineups across Scotland and even making his German debut with FLY this summer alongside being the gracious host of the one and only . It’s safe to say the man has a weighty bag of tunes and if you caught him at one of our past parties you’ll know what’s what!

He joins us a week today when we welcome J Wax down to the La Cheetah booth. A handful of early birds left via RA for a lucky few, see you next week xo

Artist Spotlight: NIHASA

As a past guest, we know exactly what NIHASA can bring to the table and since she last joined she’s been picking up steam with gigs across Glasgow. Taking inspiration from Latin sounds and groovy chuggers. We can’t to see what she brings when she joins us in just under two weeks time!

Our next event sees us invite one of Scotland’s most talented DJs and producers right now, J Wax. With his tracks being played at renowned festivals worldwide and a whole host of sets across clubs and festivals both local and further afield this year, 2024 had been a huge year for one of Edinburgh’s next breakout artists. He joins us in La Cheetah in just under 3 weeks alongside a serious squad of local hitters who are no strangers to being behind the controls at the best clubs Glasgow has to offer!

Artist Spotlight: Cober

Hailing from Inverness, Cober has played all over the shop, from shelling it out of an aeroplane cockpit for one of his early festival sets many moons ago to even a few sell-out shows at our very own La Cheetah. This week he’s taken a break from touring with his band to bring some hard funky rhythms and techno chuggers to the La Cheetah basement tomorrow night.

From Belfast to finding a groove in Glasgow, pmccotter brings an approach to DJing from 2 different cultures, blending the gaps from everything between electro to fast-paced tribal bangers. If you made it down to his set last time he played for us you’ll know exactly why he’s back behind the wheel so soon!

Artist Spotlight: Jøhannes

Originally from Aberdeen and now residing in Glasgow, Jøhannes has played across Scotland and France in venues such as Sub Club, Tunnels, Nico’s Bar and Brunswick Cellars in Glasgow, and Cafe Chaud in Morzine. He also runs the club night/collective Fight Night, providing local DJs the chance to duke it out across a variety of genres with a B2B exclusive format. You can expect an eclectic range with his sound taking inspiration from the likes of Mall Grabs and Soulwax’s piano house track as well as a host of garage, breaks and electro. Catch him spinning it all next Wednesday in the beloved La Cheetah basement 🔊

Our first event of the Autumn brings a mix of new and past guests in for an evening of the finest four-to-the-floor heaters that Glasgow has to offer! Artist Spotlight: L3nny

Picking up speed with a series of gigs with across the country this summer, L3nny has been going from strength to strength and has been behind the wheel everywhere from Mash House to Banana Moon to dish out all your lugs can handle. He won our opening slot with an eclectic house mix that got our attention and we are expecting more of the same when he joins us next Wednesday!

For our next event, we felt it was only right that we got some of the sounds of summer in while the sun was still out and about! This team has a gift for uplifting and groovy house mixes, so we are feeling more than locked and loaded when we jump back down to La Cheetah in just under two weeks times. Rising from the local scene in Glasgow, Inez brings her unique blend of trance, hard house, and techno to every set she plays. Her playful performances have taken her to dance floors across the UK and Europe, with most recent highlights including Riverside Festival () and a performance at Trnsmt Festival still to come ().
