We have a lot to be thankful for, and this community is so very high on our list. 😊From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of your support, inspiration, and friendship. ❤️

And while this is by no means an exhaustive list because I’d probably end up in IG jail if I tagged all of the shop owners we love, and who inspired us to open our own, I just want to take this moment to thank some of the shop owners who truly have changed our lives this year. Raise your hand if you are as obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas as I am? We’re all about Halloween and this movie especially…as you probably gathered from yesterday’s reel. 😂

We paired our gorgeous haunted house board from Button and Bug (I stained it with Tiny Land Play stains to make it extra spooky lol; the stains will be available in my shop by week’s end!), with our super fun Nightmare Before Christmas characters from Piglet.in.Bloom!

All of the fun fillers — everything from some super fun sensory rice that came with Babble and Chatter amazing October subscription kit and some of The Scott Cottage beautiful Halloween pasta, to the incredible resin goodies that came with CharsJars haunted cabin kit (see previous post), and sparkly Halloween colored pipe cleaners, were so fun to put inside the haunted house along with the adorable accessories from Button & Bug that come with the board. 🏚 Geez that was a long sentence, but I’m too tired to edit it lol. 😂

As I mentioned, I made the haunted house board extra spooky by staining it using the same stain and sealant I use to make my sensory sticks, from Tiny Land Play! I will soon be carrying everything you need to do things just like this, in my shop! Most likely by the end of the week. 😊 And I added puck lights underneath because as you all know, my little man is all about the lights. 😂

As you swipe through the pictures you’ll see a number of our Halloween toys joined the party, including our new gorgeous Jack and Sally pumpkin stacker from Pom’s Island, and our beautiful Halloween blocks from Applewood Toys! The little man decided that the haunted house belonged to the witch and everyone came to play with her. 😂

Last week we focused on the letter “P”. In addition to activities with themes like pigs, pizza, and planets, we talked about PEOPLE. I used this as an opportunity to re-explore the subject of feelings, so I pulled out one of our favorite books and set up this fun invitation to play using one of our favorite boards from The Creative Learning Co.! This fun board comes with a variety of loose parts that can be inserted perfectly in the openings, but it also pairs perfectly with our Grapat nins, coins, and rings, as well as all of our fun sensory fillers from Babble and Chatter and The Scott Cottage. We had so much fun!

🌊”O” is for Ocean!! 🌊

While exploring letter “O” we of course also had to visit the ocean…well kind of. 😂 Mama Life Today’s Virtual Sensory Play Class a couple weeks ago was all about ocean fun!

Hi Everyone! Sorry, I’m a bit behind on my page. I’m going to attempt to start to play catch up tonight and post a few of the activities we’ve done the past couple weeks. My instagram is always current. 😊❤️

Here’s the first one!

We did a number of fun activities while we learned about the letter “O,” one of which was this fun color orange theme setup the little man and I created together. ❤️ One night before bed I told him we needed to hunt for things that are orange. We collected lots of fun toys and then I told him it was time to create, and asked him what color play dough he’d like to use as the base. He went straight to the drawer containing our tins of rainbow play dough from Babble and Chatter, and got right to work!

There are so many fun open-ended toys in this play tray. He’s been enjoying it all day. We have everything in here from our Connetix Tiles ball run, Grimmswoodentoys, and our Grapat nins, coins, and rings. And of course, our jumbo tiger from Learning Resources!

Earlier this week we celebrated National Soft Serve Ice Cream Day with these absolutely ADORABLE resin ice cream cones from CharsJars! Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA on FB lately folks. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve managed to keep up with IG, but I have just been so busy the past week! 😊 While I have quite a few posts to share with those of you who don’t have IG, tonight I’m going tell you about the product I just launched last week! Sensory sticks!

They can be used for color sorting, salt tray pre-writing, mud kitchen play, and so much more! I make them using high quality, peeled and sanded birchwood. I use non-toxic stains as well a sealant that enables them to be used in water play, all of which are made by Tiny Land. And the colors match Grimmswoodentoys and Grapat, so you can create beautiful invitations to play!

Below I paired our primary color sensory sticks with some resources from a few of my favorite shops, owned by some incredibly talented mamas who inspire me daily. ❤️
