We’re so proud to announce the addition of our very first band to Ram Cat Records, Retro 78.
Retro 78 is comprised of highly skilled instrumentalists and vocalists from both North and South Carolina, each of whom have developed their own distinct and impressive pedigree in their music careers. The band formed from a true love of the music at a jam one late Summer night, decided to throw their hat in the ring at the SPBGMA International Band Competition in 2021…won first place…and the rest is history in the making.
They have already recorded an EP engineered and produced by award winning, master mandolinist Alan Bibey, and mixed and mastered by Steve Wilson Music, due out early next year. They also have plans to get back into the studio to lay the ground work on their debut full length album right away.
Promoters should be ready to add this high energy band to their stage as they will be the one all true blue fans want to see next year and beyond!
We wish to thank Rusty and Susanne at the The Gramling Opry House for hosting a fantastic sold out debut party for the band Saturday night! Y’all be sure to get out to support this terrific venue!

This fine Saturday morning at ten eastern time, join Lee Michael Demsey https://bluegrasscountry.org/shows/lee-michael-demsey/ as he spins a brand new single from Blue Highway and one from Irene Kelley. Also, each hour, two songs from the late fiddle great, Pete Sutherland. And Lee dips a bit deeper into his christmas collection for some good Bluegrass sounds. On Christmas Eve, his whole show will be made up of Bluegrass Christmas tunes, some old, some new. On New Years Eve morning, he'll count down the top fifty Bluegrass tunes of the year gone by.
