Beetroot & Brocolli soup with sourdough bread with olive oil.

Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are a great source of fiber folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C (for glowing skin 🥰).
Beetroots and beetroot juice have been associated with numerous health benefits, including improved blood flow, lower blood pressure, and increased exercise performance.

Tomato & beetroot soup for that amazing winter glow!
This soup is so flavorful and delicious that everyone will be wanting seconds. It's simple to make, comforting and great for weightloss.
Ingredients-
2 medium tomatoes 🍅
Half a beetroot
1 small red or black carrot 🥕
1 small onion 🧅
5-6 brocolli florets 🥦
1 green chilly 🌶
And, any other vegetables you can find in your refrigerator.
Salt to taste 🧂🧂
Chuck all of these in a pressure cooker with a cup of water and let it cook on medium flame for 10-12 minutes. Let it depressurize on it's own and blend it into a soup like consistency (add more water if needed).
In a frying pan, add a spoon of ghee/ butter. Add 3 finely chopped cloves if garlic. Sauté chopped mushroom and green beans (you can add small pieces of salami or sausage if you like). Add these sauted veggies to the soup. Season with black pepper, a dash of vinegar and soya sauce. Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.

The thing I love about quantified nutrition is that it allows you to be flexible. All you need is a little creativity and imagination and you won't even feel like you're on a diet. For me, this is the best way to reach my fitness goals.

Dinner today - no fancy ingredients or equipment.
Quantities:
Chicken breast - 150 gm
Potato - 150 gm
Ghee- 5 gm
Veggies and spices

Have fun with simple ingredients!

We grew up eating Dal-Chawal and this is still my go to comfort food!

Dal & Rice is not only easy to make and have, but this combination is healthy as well !
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let's see how !?
●If you think that this combination will only make you gain weight, then hold on, it's not true !
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Gaining & Losing weight depends upon the total calorie intake and portion size!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can easily eat Dal-Rice combo for dinner or luncb!
⠀⠀⠀
●Arhar/Toor Dal is rich in Vitamin B & C.
Rice is great source of Carbohydrates.
And, Pure Ghee is rich in Vitamin A, D, E & K.
Then you can clearly imagine that what benefits the combo of these 3 could provide !

●If you are bored of having simple dal and want some Tadka to it, then go with mustard seed, garlic-Ghee combo !
It is the best temper for dal not only because it's simple but mustard seeds are also rich in nutrients.
(You can also add Asafoetida (Hing) along it !)

My bowl of happiness!

🌱 Winter’s on our doorstep and this is the time of year when we need to take extra care to stock up on the right vitamins & antioxidants to keep us illness free for the cold months ahead. And, with all that’s happening Corona wise, this is probably even more important now.
You can add nuts, berries, seeds or fruit yogurt of your choice to make it even better.

I had to go to a friend's place for lunch today but I'm on a calorie deficit, so I carried my meal with me. Being on a diet doesn't mean that you have to give up on socializing, or having fun. You just need to make healthier choices whenever you can and, not feel guilty for indulging once in a while.

I can't go a day without having a good, fresh salad!! Even when I can't find anything fancy, I just use whatever I have in the fridge and whip up a yummy salad with some seasoning.

Salads are a great source of fiber and I know it's hard to believe something we can't even digest is good for us! Salads are nutrient rich and help lower cholesterol levels and prevent constipation. Plus, they also help in weight management!! If you want to manage/lose weight, you can begin by having a bowl of salad before your meals.

You can add nuts, a little oil, lemon juice, herbs, seasoning, seeds and experiment with your salads every day.

For a very long time, I hated getting my pictures taken. I decided to do something about it and lost over 20 kgs but the more I worked on myself, the more I realized that it wasn't all about losing weight, it was also about being comfortable in my skin, loving myself, blocking out toxic people and just paying attention to my mental and physical health.
