review for Idontexist

Key takeaways
1) think about making cross-map plays. Sometimes its better to force the opponent to come to you by applying pressure where you already are rather than recalling and running to the other side of the map.

2) Mid to late game as fed assassin. Think about who is MOST important to kill. Make sure you save key abilities for that champion. Don't waste it on inconsequential kills.

Hello everyone,

TL;DR

*Image is me poorly trying to illustrate my point

For most players, LoL/WR is most fun when your account's Matchmaking Rating (MMR) is lower than your actual skill (AS). This is when you can make a big impact on the game, feel in control, and not be as worried about other teammates' performance.

As you play more games MMR starts to catch up to your AS, eventually until MMR is a very good indicator of your skill.

Once this happens everyone else in your games will be a relatively similar skill and you won't have as big of an impact, and won't feel as in control of the game. This creates a situation where you have to rely on your team as a whole to be better. Thus creating more scenarios where you are worried about your teammate's mistakes/getting outplayed because you can't carry as hard anymore. This is when a lot of frustration will arise.

The only way to overcome this is to focus on what you can control (your actions, decisions, and skill). Look to improve so that once again your accounts MMR isn't an accurate reflection of your AS again and you can have a bigger impact on the game.

You'll also need to find joy in learning and playing through the games where it feels like a coin flip and just depends which team ends up with slightly better teammates.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been a long-time LoL player (played PC version since like 2011!). Recently been getting into Wild Rift cause the shorter game times fit my life better now. (currently sitting at D3 rank).
After years, and years and years of solo queue on LoL PC I learned the only way to "enjoy" it is if you TRULY accept to focus on what is in your control and that not every game is winnable. The most important thing to understand is that as you play more games, and your Matchmaking Rating(MMR) starts to get more and more accurate relative to your actual skill, games become MORE frustrating because you have LESS impact on every game.
This is because everyone else in your games starts getting just as good as you. Early on say when your MMR doesn't quite reflect your AS yet even if another lane loses you can win harder and carry the game. You can outperform others and have a big impact on the game. But as your MMR starts to reflect your AS accurately then suddenly you can't dominate your lane and even if you do the fed opponent is just as good as you and you can't as easily outplay them to compensate for the gold difference.
The only way to overcome this sense of frustration/helplessness is to improve and learn such that you're once again in a position where there is a difference between your MMR and AS. This is how you go back to having a larger impact on the game again. Some players achieve this feeling by smurfing, intentionally creating a new account so that the new accounts MMR is much lower than their current skill. That's a pretty lame way to go about it and IMO the only reason to have a smurf is if you're learning a completely different playstyle/role/champion.
So, the more you play the less impact you will actually have on games thanks to MMR. Because of this, one of the most important things to do is try to change your mindset to focus on improvement and learning even in games that were outright unwinnable or just unwinnable at your current skill level.
If you learn and improve every day, your MMR, ranked rating and # of wins will all take care of themselves.
Focus on and find joy in the journey (learning and improvement), not the destination (Plat/Diamond/Challenger). I know it's easier said than done though!
I hope some of you find this helpful and interesting. Remember to take breaks, drink water, play with friends and have fun!
Review number 2 for M4gicp4nda =D
Key take away
Think about back timings
Think about whether to group or split push given team comps
Be mindful of death timers! (your own and enemies) Especially late game where a death means you're off the map for 45+ seconds.
replay review for W R Q Q. Great Lee Sin player but key takeaway - make sure to focus more on objectives.
Save key cooldowns like smite and ult when objectives are going to come up.
Try to fight with the purpose of taking an objective. Not just to fight.
First game review for m4gicp4nda =D
Key takeaway! play around minions. Use minions to pressure tower while they are there. Counter Jungle when there isn't minions around to pressure tower with.
