It's that wonderful time of year when we need your support to make Christmas extra special for everyone!

Longwarry Lions Food Relief does an incredible job of helping those in need during the holiday season, but they can't do it without your help.

Please consider donating the items below which will be distributed to those in need at Christmas.

Things such as:
🎄 Christmas food (things for a Christmas lunch)
🎄 Lollies, biscuits, chocolates
🎄 Christmas decorations
🎄 Christmas table decorations
🎄 Wrapping paper or Christmas cards
🎁 Toys and books for all children
🎁 Gift cards/vouchers or items suitable for teenagers (things such as body products, makeup, sporting goods)

Donations can be taken to the Longwarry Public Hall every Thursday 11-2pm, or Saturday 16th November/Saturday 7th December from 9am-5pm.

Last year I was truly amazed by the community's incredible support of our local toy drive, and in years past of our Reverse Advent Calendar Hampers.
Let's work together to make this year's Christmas even more special for everyone!

Hi friends 💖💖💖

Today is Day #1 of 'Sugar Free September'...wish me luck!
I'm aiming to have NO refined sugar or artificial sweeteners for the whole month! 🍬🍰🥤

This initiative is very close to my heart as it raises money for Muscular Dystrophy. Some of you may know that my Dad has FSH Dystrophy, so raising funds for this cause is really important to me.

If you'd like to support me and help raise funds for this important cause, please visit my fundraising page.

Any support is very much appreciated!
Thanks everyone 🙏🙏

Ladies! Make 2022 a year focusing on your health and happiness!

For my 8th year, I'm running my annual Girls Weekend Away. The weekend focuses on women's health and wellness, and 100% of the profits are donated to a different charity every year.

This year we're heading to Phillip Island, March 18-20 with 35 ladies, and all profits are being donated to Save The Children Australia.

The weekend focuses on women's health, with workshops, yoga, small group workshops, pampering, trivia night, and much more! The ladies who attend are inspired, educated and have a whole lot of fun!

I only have a couple of spots left, so if you'd like to learn more please send me a PM!

Hey local to Baw Baw,

Hands up if you'd love a rebate on cloth nappies and/or reusable sanitary products?

I've started a petition to ask the Baw Baw Shire to consider offering a rebate, as many local councils are starting to offer this!

These rebates recognise the benefits of cloth nappies and reusable sanitary products while making them accessible for the community.

A household can receive up to fifty percent of the purchase back on new and secondhand items with proof of receipt to a limit of $150. This will help to reduce waste to landfill (children alone need between 6,000 to 7,000 nappies and women use 12,000 pads and tampons throughout their life),

Once I have enough signatures I'll be taking the petition to the Shire, and will also look for some Councillor allies now as well!

Please head over to the petition and show your support!

WOW!!!
When we here in Victoria had 1.5 terms (approx 15 weeks) of remote learning it was the end of the world (or most of us felt like it was!)

An old colleague of mine lives in Hong Kong, has a daughter in primary school, and both her and her husband are in the education sector.
Here’s her latest post so we can all put it into perspective!

‘Today marks one year since HK started online teaching/learning. Along with China, the first in the world. And here we are today and still at it. Out of a 41 week school year we have been doing this for approximately 33 weeks. 🤦🏼‍♀️’

2021 Creative Harvest Gardens // Jan & John Tulloch

This beautiful 3Ha property has been established for 35 years.
A vegetable garden incorporating poultry within permitted zones, totally chicken wire mesh enclosed, excluding foxes, birds and possums.
Compost and liquid manure are used, artificial fertilizers and insecticides are not. Tank water only is available so summer crops are limited.
A blueberry garden is similarly totally enclosed excluding birds and possums and doubling as a cat run connected to the house. Cats are not allowed outdoors, apart from this area. The blueberry beds consist mostly of mulch, and crop well.

There is also a natural swimming pool. Separate reed beds were added to the previously chlorinated 12.5m concrete pool. The water is circulated from the pool, through the reedbeds and back to the pool at a slow rate. The pool water is also available for fire- fighting.

- Dogs on leads are allowed at this garden & a toilet is available on site.

When: Sat the 23rd & Sun the 24th of January 2021
from 10am – 4pm.
