Here are some Good News Translation (GNT) verses that prove every moment is a chance to do it for the Lord and encourage us to do our best in Jesus' name:

1. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱

Colossians 3:17 (GNT)
"Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father."

✅ This verse shows that every action, no matter how small, should be done for the Lord.

2. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗻

Colossians 3:23-24 (GNT)

✅ This reminds us to give our best because we are ultimately serving Jesus, not just people.

There are spiritual parasites too that clouds our spirit.

the Bible does support the idea that there are spiritual parasites—evil forces, sins, and influences that attach themselves to a person, clouding their spirit and hindering their relationship with God. Here are some biblical proofs:

1. 𝗦𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲

Hebrews 12:1 (ESV) – "Let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."

Sin is described as something that clings to us, much like a parasite that weighs us down and drains spiritual life.

2. 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀

1 Peter 5:8 (ESV) – "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

Satan and his demons act like parasites, seeking to consume and destroy.

Matthew 12:43-45 (ESV) – "When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none... Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there."

This shows how demons behave like parasites, looking for a host and multiplying their influence when given the opportunity.

3. 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀

2 Timothy 2:17 (NIV) – "Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus."

Gangrene is a disease that spreads, much like a parasite, and false teachings act in the same corrupting way.

4. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀

Mark 4:19 (ESV) – "But the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful."

James 4:7 (ESV) – "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

The way to remove these spiritual parasites is through submission to God and resisting the enemy.

Just like parasites in the physical realm, spiritual parasites attach themselves subtly but cause great harm. The Bible warns us to stay vigilant, guard our hearts, and be cleansed through Christ to walk in spiritual freedom.

Is it okay to listen to secular worldly music?

The Bible does not specifically mention modern secular music, but it provides principles that guide believers in their choices regarding what they listen to. Here are some biblical reasons why listening to secular music that promotes a worldly lifestyle is not godly:

1. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
Romans 12:2 (GNT) – "Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect."
Secular music that promotes sin and worldly values conforms to the world’s standards. Instead, we are called to be transformed by God’s truth.

2. 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱
Proverbs 4:23 (GNT) – "Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts."
The music we listen to influences our thoughts and emotions. If the lyrics promote sin or distractions from God, they can shape our lives in the wrong direction.

3.𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀
1 Corinthians 15:33 (GNT) – "Do not be fooled. ‘Bad companions ruin good character.’"
Music is a form of companionship. Songs that glorify sin can negatively shape our character.|

4. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱
Philippians 4:8 (GNT) – "In conclusion, my brothers and sisters, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable."
Many secular songs do not fit this description. Instead, they promote ungodly desires. We should focus on music that aligns with God’s goodness.

5. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲
Colossians 3:16 (GNT) – "Christ’s message in all its richness must live in your hearts. Teach and instruct one another with all wisdom. Sing psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing to God with thanksgiving in your hearts."
Music is meant to fill us with the message of Christ. Songs that glorify sin do the opposite.

6. 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱
1 John 2:15-16 (GNT) – "Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the Father. Everything that belongs to the world—what the sinful self desires, what people see and want, and everything in this world that people are so proud of—none of this comes from the Father; it all comes from the world."
Many secular songs encourage desires that pull us away from God, such as lust, pride, and materialism.

7. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀
Matthew 12:36-37 (GNT) – "You can be sure that on the Judgment Day you will have to give account of every useless word you have ever spoken. Your words will be used to judge you—to declare you either innocent or guilty."
Music is filled with words. If God will judge the words we speak, we must also be careful about the words we listen to.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Listening to secular music that promotes ungodly values is not in line with biblical teaching. It influences our minds, hearts, and character in ways that do not honor God. While not all secular music is sinful, we must be discerning and ask: Does this music bring me closer to God or push me toward worldly desires? As believers, we should choose what fills our hearts wisely.

Worldly People are more thirsty of "entertainment" instead of God's Word, the code is already there in the word itself, be careful not to be 𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧-ed for you to 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥 the kingdom of God! "𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥-𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧-𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The Bible provides clear warnings about prioritizing worldly entertainment over devotion to God and His Word. Below is a biblical analysis of how misplaced priorities in entertainment can hinder one’s spiritual life and relationship with God:

1. 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱:
Scripture condemns indulging in entertainment that glorifies immorality, violence, or ungodly values. For example:
• Psalm 101:3 states, “I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.” This verse calls believers to reject entertainment that normalizes wickedness.
• Ephesians 5:11 warns, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.” Entertainment that celebrates sin (e.g., s*xual immorality, greed, or rebellion) aligns with darkness and distances believers from holiness.
• King Herod’s feast (Matthew 14:6-12) exemplifies how entertainment rooted in sinful desires (lust, pride, and murder) leads to spiritual destruction.

2. 𝗜𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
• 1 John 2:15 warns, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.” Obsession with worldly amusements reflects misplaced worship.
• Luke 12:16-21 (the parable of the rich fool) illustrates the folly of prioritizing temporal pleasures over eternal treasures. The man focused on “eat, drink, and be merry” but neglected his soul.
• Matthew 6:21 emphasizes, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” If our treasure is entertainment, our hearts drift from God.

3. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱:

The content we consume shapes our spiritual health:
• Proverbs 4:23 urges, “Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Entertainment filled with ungodly messages (e.g., profanity, cynicism, or rebellion) taints the heart and weakens discernment.
• Romans 12:2 commands believers to reject conformity to the world and instead renew their minds. Worldly entertainment often promotes values contrary to Scripture, such as materialism or moral relativism.
• Philippians 4:8 provides a filter: Focus on what is “true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy.”

4. 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Choosing entertainment over Scripture stifles spiritual growth:

• Colossians 3:2 instructs, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Overindulgence in trivial entertainment dulls eternal perspective.

• Galatians 6:7 warns, “A man reaps what he sows.” Consuming ungodly entertainment plants seeds of spiritual apathy or rebellion.
• 1 Peter 5:8 reminds believers to “be alert” against the devil’s tactics, which include using entertainment to lure people into complacency or sin.
• Hebrews 12:1 urges believers to “throw off everything that hinders” their race toward Christ. Entertainment that distracts from God’s calling becomes a spiritual obstacle.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Balancing Enjoyment and Eternal Priorities
The Bible does not condemn entertainment itself—Jesus attended feasts (John 2:1-11), and Ecclesiastes 3:4 acknowledges “a time to laugh [and] a time to dance.” However, entertainment becomes sinful when it:
• Displaces God as the primary source of joy.
• Promotes unrighteousness contrary to Scripture.
• Consumes time meant for prayer, service, or studying God’s Word.
Believers are called to “do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31), including their leisure. By applying discernment and moderation, Christians can enjoy wholesome entertainment while keeping their hearts anchored in God’s truth.

The soul is eternal, and there are only two destinations after this life: either we will dwell forever in the presence of God or be cast into outer darkness, eternally separated from Him. Our actions in this life are not forgotten. If we die in sin—loving and doing what is wrong—our soul remains in that fallen state for eternity. But while we are still alive, God, in His mercy, gives us the opportunity to repent, to die to ourselves, and to deny the desires of the flesh so that our souls may be justified in His sight. Repentance is not optional—it is essential for salvation. And following Jesus is not merely a choice; it is the only way to be saved.

𝗡𝗼𝘄, 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

1. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹
• Matthew 25:46 – "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
• Ecclesiastes 12:7 – "And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it."
• Daniel 12:2 – "Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."
These verses show that human souls continue eternally, either in God's presence or in separation.

• 2 Thessalonians 1:9 – "They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might."
These passages confirm that there is eternal life with God for the righteous and eternal separation for the wicked.

• This shows that in the afterlife, people remember their past actions and choices.

These verses affirm that the state in which we die is the state we remain in for eternity.

• Ezekiel 18:30-32 – "Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall."
These show that while we are alive, God offers us the opportunity to repent, but once we die, judgment follows.

These confirm that salvation is only through Jesus, and following Him is essential.

The Bible clearly supports these points: the soul is eternal, there are only two destinations, and we must repent and follow Jesus to be saved. God gives us a chance while we are alive, but after death, our eternal state is set. Therefore, repentance and obedience to Christ are non-negotiable for salvation.

The enemy will be exposed—whether we like it or not. Ignorance of God’s Word is one thing, but knowing His Word and choosing to disobey it is far worse.

[4] For how can those who abandon their faith be brought back to repent again? They were once in God's light; they tasted heaven's gift and received their share of the Holy Spirit;

Let this serve as a sobering reminder: walking away from the truth brings shame not only to us but to Christ Himself. Let us not take lightly the grace and enlightenment we have received.

To be ready is to turn back from sin and be selfless.

Do not be bribed by feelings and society.

Stand firm and take up your cross daily.

Realize that nothing is greater than God.

Earthly status and achievements and political status are all laughable compared to God's heavenly riches.

Certificates, achievements, possessions will all be dissolved.

Everything will fade away but the Words of God will be the same forever and ever.

Israel - means chosen people that wrestles with God.

In the spiritual sense, wrestling with God is a struggle between our sinful nature and submitting to God's Word as chosen people of God.

I wrestle with my bad thoughts everyday.

The Bible provides clear guidance on managing our thoughts and aligning them with God's will. Here are several key passages that encourage rejecting negative or harmful thoughts and aligning our minds with God's Word:

1. 2 Corinthians 10:5 - "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

This verse reminds us to be vigilant in "taking captive" every thought, making sure it aligns with Christ’s truth. It speaks to an active, intentional approach to disciplining our minds.

2. Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

Paul teaches us here to fill our minds with things that honor God. By focusing on virtues, we crowd out space for negativity and sinful thoughts.

3. Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

God calls us to renew our minds, transforming our thinking to align with His ways. This renewal helps us discern God's will and turn away from worldly influences.

4. Psalm 139:23-24 - "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

Here, David invites God to search his heart and mind, identifying anything contrary to God’s way. By asking God to reveal our thoughts, we can reject those that are offensive and be led toward righteousness.

5. Colossians 3:2 - "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."

By focusing our minds on heavenly things, we direct our attention away from earthly, harmful thoughts. This is a call to seek God’s perspective and purpose, rather than dwelling on negative or worldly influences.

6. James 1:14-15 - "But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death."

James highlights the progression of sinful thoughts to actions. By resisting temptation at the thought level, we prevent it from leading to sin and its consequences.

2. Romans 7:18-19, 22-23 - "For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out... For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me."

Here, Paul describes a personal wrestling with sin. Even though he longs to obey God’s law, he finds himself battling his sinful nature. This inner struggle is at the core of what it means to wrestle with God—desiring to live righteously but struggling against the sin that pulls us away from full submission to God.

3. Galatians 5:17 - "For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want."

The flesh and the Spirit are constantly at odds. This verse underscores the continuous spiritual battle within each believer, symbolizing a wrestling that calls for choosing God’s Spirit over one’s sinful inclinations.

4. Romans 8:7 - "The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so."

A mind set on fleshly desires is in rebellion against God. This illustrates that a key part of wrestling with God is the struggle to break free from the flesh and submit to God’s will. Without God’s help, submission is impossible.

5. James 4:7-8 - "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

This passage calls believers to submit to God and resist evil. The language of “double-minded” reflects the inner conflict between sin and righteousness. By drawing near to God, believers find the strength to overcome their struggle with sin.

6. Ephesians 6:12 - "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

This verse emphasizes that our true battle is spiritual. Wrestling with God often means standing firm against spiritual forces and resisting the sin that tries to lure us away from God's path.

As Israel (meaning "one who struggles with God") symbolizes, this struggle is not merely physical but a spiritual journey toward transformation, where believers must continually choose submission to God over the pull of their own desires.

Boasting in outward appearances when it comes to possessions or clothing—children as young as five years old are already preoccupied with looking good. Kids are watching indecent shows, passing around s*x scandals, teens indulging in late-night parties and drunkenness, unstable relationships seeking a satisfaction they cannot find, lust occupying both the mind and the way they dress (just look at how today's youth dress). Drug abuse, early pregnancies, and all kinds of worldly desires are rampant. In schools, there are even more books on witchcraft being read instead of the Holy Bible. All of this is happening because of the lack of sharing the Word of God. We are living in a fallen world, and only the Word of the Lord can open the eyes of these lost souls.

The enemy is deceiving this generation, pulling them deeper into darkness. We need to fill the gap by sharing the truth of the Scriptures, especially with our children and the youth. They are the enemy's targets, but only the truth of Christ can set them free. We must rise up and prioritize Bible studies even more, so that the light of God's Word shines into their hearts and protects them from the schemes of the devil.

As it is written, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). The battle is spiritual, and we need to arm this generation with the Word of God, for only His truth can break the chains of deception and sin that bind them.
