FIRST PLATINUM OF 2025

I ended up earning platinum on still Wakes the Deep. It's an absolutely fantastic game that I played last year and even reviewed.
The game will take at least 2 runs to platinum, that's only if you miss a few collectables early on.
If you do your homework you could platinum it in 1 run even.

So I picked up my first chrome controller after looking at my sisters one. This is definitely a thing of beauty, it means I can also retire my limited edition astro bot controller to save it from ever getting broken.

2025 PICK UPS 2.0

so I picked up Prince of Persia the lost crown while in Tamworth with the intent of playing it.
But i didn't end up playing it lol.
I did however play it on ps5,
It's an absolutely amazing game.

Nothing beats a classic like donkey Kong country returns HD.

GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP

So recently a friend messaged me about sending me a mystery gift. Now, when I opened the box I didn't in my wildest dreams expect to see what I did. I mean, I expected to see the lovely note, but there was something I wouldn't have ever expected. He sent me one of the 5000 made, Deadspace 3 dev team edition boxes.
I had to get Karra to open it with me because i was tearing up.
Honestly this is the reason I love the gaming community and why at any chance I give back, because there are so many beautiful people on here with the biggest hearts and they are the people you want to call friends and follow. ♥️♥️♥️

ASSASSINS CREED 3

So this is one of my favourite Ac games, i've definitely talked about it in the past.
I don't often purchase walkthrough guides, but while on my family long weekend mini holiday to Tamworth to see family and checkout the touristy sights to see, I did.
We also checked out the local ebgames and a few opshops. I love looking around the op-shops to see what gaming stuff I can find.
On this trip I found a lot of goosebump books, a few pokemon books and this walkthrough.
All in all, the weekend went fast but the kids had a lot of fun.

PLANET OF THE APES

A classic film and honestly a series that will forever be close to my heart.
I grew up watching the original films with my pop who has since passed away.
So when I watch the old movies or even the new ones, I think of him, and that maybe he's watching over me and my family.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN.......PUZZLE PIECE?

So last year, it ended with a wonderful surprise. I won the giveaway by @56.bits, a beautifully boxed and protector cased banjo-kazooie on n64. I still remember playing this as a kid and beating the evil witch at the end. It's an absolute masterpiece of a game, If you've not checked their page out, you should.

What would you say is the best n64 game?

SILENT HILL 2 BY TEEHEE

So last year I was so lucky to get a special gift off of I was a kid at Christmas opening it. In 2024 we got to experience an amazing remake of silent hill 2 and it was probably my favourite game of 2024. It was also my first time experience a silent hill game. So the game and this tee made my year even better. Thanks teehee.

FIRST GAME TO FINISH 2025

Kong survivor Instinct developed by an indie company called
It was a great side scroller in the monsterverse of King Kong. The game is really simple, but still fantastic and shows that you don't need HD graphics and open world to be a good game.

Predator 2 funko pop, The city hunter.

I have loved all the predator films, honestly I'd love to see a movie set on their home world, even if it's all subtitles i wouldn't care.

FIRST PURCHASE OF 2025

So I found these at a store. A nice score I'd say. I want to play the Sonic x shadow generations, especially after watching the Sonic 3 movie and after we found out we will never get another dishonoured game. So I had to pick up the 3rd game. Now dishonoured death of the outsider wasn't entirely my favourite of the games but it was still enjoyable.

LEGO SHAME PILE / RAINY DAY LEGO

This post is thanks to she posted a photo of her stockpile of lego after Christmas so I wanted to show everyone and my massive stockpile of lego to slowly build. We also have some sets to build on our family lego night with the 3 older boys and Xander has a duplo set.

Even with all this I have my eye on 4 newly released sets, haha.

LOOP NOISE CANCELLATION EARBUDS

Most have probably heard of them, lots have probably tried them.
But Mentioned here, are three types that might help if you are like me, or maybe you just want a little more quiet.
QUIET 2
This pair of earbuds like the others, are incredibly soft and comfortable. I wasn't expecting them to be so smooth.
They come with multiple interchangeable heads to find the best fit for yourself, and the different types of earbuds are used for different environments, letting you get the best out of your individual situation.
The quiet 2 earbuds are great for exactly that, quiet. No matter if it's for sleeping, dulling down loud traffic, noisy neighbours, or even the snoring next to you at night.
Rated SNR 24 db they are one of the most effective pairs they sell.
However they aren't magic and don't get rid of all noise, you still may need a pillow to stop all the snoring getting through.

You can still hear certain tones in voices, the more bass to the voice I find the more you will hear, but it's extremely muted and you can't really understand what people are saying if they are in another room while you try to sleep. If the noise is outdoors, it blocks it out almost completely.

ENGAGE 2/EXPERIENCE 2
These two pairs are quiet similar, 16/17db noise reduction, also extremely smooth and soft. They are all sold in multiple colours, metallic colours and come in clear.
Unlike the quiet 2, engage 2 and experience 2 help you take the edge off all the background noise but also help you focus on things better. You can still hear what's going on around you and who's talking to you, just clearer and less full on.
Like trying to listen to your friend at a loud party.
Both of these help with that.
They come in a handy little case, as small as a 20c coin.
The downside, you could also easily lose them because of their size.

Overall, other than the small chance of misplacing the case due to the size, loops seem to be a really nice product.
They are small enough to carry multiple pairs, without them getting in the way.

Recently I picked up the steelbook for my ever growing collection from and it was cheap. I didn't mind the movie at all, what about you?

Some of the games are good and some fall short for me. Assassins creed 3 and Assassins creed black flags are my favourites.

THE CONJURING

Two pops got me for Christmas.
These movies are one of my favourites because they are about real case files of the warrens.
I really enjoy watching movies or tv series that are based on real events.

I'm super excited for the next conjuring film.
I wasn't a fan of the nun movies at all.

A lovecraftian inspired game, it is a dark retro horror.

TOP NINE 2024

What a year it's been!
Filled with many games, movies, memories, laughs, smiles, and tears.
Honestly, reflecting on it all, it is hard to sum it up short and sweet.

There are a lot of good memories and games within my 9 top posts, like Assassins creed black flags, banisher, Stella Blade, Outlast, Avatar, Resident Evil, and Returnal. Not to mention the xbox 360 mega set that almost broke me to build, haha.
