New video out today for "Knuckle Sandwich" by The Vidos. Needless to say this was really fun to shoot. We just brought out our inner kids to this party. What is funnier that getting a punch to the face? Well nothing really... Getting punched in the face sucks!!! But getting watching someone else get punched in the face over and over agin by someone wearing a Sumo suit... Now that is funny!!!

Shot at the Wisehall to a sold out crowd, Chase The Bear put on one hell of crowd pleasing show. This is where the band really shines as a live act and it really shows in this video. The one major thing I love about The Vidos is their willingness and trust that they have in me to try something different. And this was by no exceptions one of those requests. It started off with. “Nolan I need two tubs of Vaseline, a bag of baking flour and fake blood”.

Chase The Bear - Wildheart acoustic in an alley
For the most part we are always recording our bands indoors in a controlled atmosphere so we can eliminate background noise but today we wanted to put the Saramonic T3L Songbird and the Saramonic VLink 2 Lav microphones to use and put the band in an alleyway to see how well we can capture their performance. We made one crucial mistake tough and recorded the lavaliere mics on a mono track so we could not split the two and mix them separate of one another. These are the things that unfortunately happen at the end of a long video shoot day when everyone is tired and ready to go home.

We have travelled down a long and winding road together to get to this day and it is finally here. The first full length album from The Vidos since signining with Rock Is Dead Records ”Right In The Kisser” is such a fun album that is hard to catogarize. Influenced by rock, jazz, hip hop and funk with lots of infectious hooks and ear worms. I hope you all enjoy this album as much as we do 🤘🤘🤘
