I made this cheer up awhile back to say with my children. After months of reciting it each morning I shared it on here simply because it made me happy to watch them light up while saying kind words about themselves.
I hope they remember these words if/when there are moments in their life when they feel less than worthy. That’s why I made it rhyme. Rhyming makes important things easier to remember. And I want them to remember this.
Now to see teachers and mothers sharing this same cheer in their classrooms and homes?! I feel excited, humbled, grateful, and so much more.
There have been MANY times when I‘ve felt a tug-of-war on my heart. Am I doing enough to help people? Am I doing enough to help my kids/husband/family/friends? Am I staying true to my purpose that I pray so frequently about?
I hope that never stops. It keeps me in check, especially when it comes to this space, which can often be about comparison and vanity. I like to goof around on here because I enjoy it so much, but I also understand this platform is a gift and I always want to work it for good.
So thank you to all the teachers, mamas, nannies who are using these words to inspire the children that look up to you. It’s been a joy to watch, and because of you my heart tug-of-war definitely feels at ease today. 🙏🏼❤️
