Five years without my mom. I tend to brace for impact when this day rolls around because I never really know how it’s going to hit me. Each year is different. And this year I just want to share more about who she was to me.

She wasn’t just my mom. She was my confidant, one of my best friends, my comfort and my cheerleader.

You often hear people say after a loved one has passed away, “they lit up the room”… but during her time here, especially at the end, she was a BEACON. To have that unshakeable joy despite her long suffering? But that’s just what beacons do. And I’m so grateful that I got to witness that kind of faith.

I miss her all the time, but celebrating her life instead of being sad about her death is the best way I know how to honor her. We share stories about “GrAngela” (Gran + Angela) with the kids, and though they never met her Earth-side, she still feels very much here in those story-sharing moments.

So, in an effort to continue to spread her light, here are some moments I’d like to share with you all in pictures and videos:

1. My mom and me in 2015 at my bridal shower. She put it all on at the house and it was just the best.
2. We went skydiving in 2016 and she had a smile on her face the entire time. “Living Life” and “Life is a Party” was her mindset that year.
3. My mom picking my inappropriate card during a game and Mike being mortified while my sister lost it. She always got my humor 😆
4. Running with her sister (my aunt) for Ovarian Cancer. Look at that teal boa! 🙌🏼
5. She would grow her own tomatoes and peppers to make homemade salsa. One time it was so spicy I thought she was purposely trying to harm us. 🤣
6. Wine time in the backyard. She probably just finished tending to her garden, picking peppers to burn the lips off all our faces.
7. A moment with my mom before Mike and my wedding.🥰
8. I think I was about Penny’s age here.
9. Penny and I recreated this photo last year. It’s one of my favorites ❤️
10. She was telling us she didn’t want to hold back anymore, so we told her “then get up and dance… right now.” She did. We called this dance move of hers “scrubbin’” 🥰😆

Thank you for letting me share this with you all.

THEY’RE BAAAACK!!! Restock happening TODAY (Dec.28th) at 12pm EST! 🦩 To everyone who’s helped me spread this message… THANK YOU! And if you weren’t able to grab one last time… I hope you’re able to Get Your Pink Back this time around. 🥰

Backstory: Flamingos, both male and female, can actually lose their pink coloring while raising their young because so much of their food and energy goes to their little ones. But eventually… THEY GET IT BACK!

I hope this serves as a reminder to anyone struggling that you WILL get your pink back, and you have a whole “flamboyance” of flamingos cheering you on along the way.

If someone asks you “what does get your pink back mean?” While you’re wearing one of these pieces, I encourage you to share the message with them, and if you’re comfortable, maybe you could share YOUR story as well. You never know who it may help!

Also, in celebration of the restock, I’ll be giving out more “pink presents” via Venmo today. So you can check my stories for that.

Thank you ALL for being part of this with me. I’m so SO grateful!!! 🦩

Though the presents are shiny and the paper is bright
And it is hard to wait through the long and cold night
To open them all the very next day
And bring out the wonderful new toys to play
It is important that we all remember
Why it is we give gifts at the end of December
Why it is we all gather and joyously sing:
To celebrate the birth of our Savior and King

Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄❤️🥰
